Sorry to hear that. For me, I would pay the money just for the local channels BUT, that is in Miami and the news AM and 11 alone is woth a one time charge.

Oh definitely, the local channels alone would be well worth the 30-40 bucks..Quick question, are these antenna's the kind where you have to lead something away from your tv and attach it to the wall up high? If it looks kind of ugly & out of place i'm not sure my wife would go for it, she's weird like that, lol...

Walmart is advertising one that will supposedly get 80-100 mile range

I have found that you mostly get what ya pay for, and Nerds, and guy who forgot more than I know liked my choice. To expand the little guy from google knows a bit more than me, and I have never been able to stump him.

If you have a Best Buy, I strongly recommend them.

Congrats on your "weird wife." Otherwise, I am certain she would not have married you. It's a 12' by 8" piece of curved thin metal with a cord. I put it on a shelf, aimed west, and forgot it was there.

Multi tasking on Disco. I had no idea you were a fan, last Classic Rock fan I teased with being a Disco fan wanted to fight. Regardless, the Bee Gees and kid brother Andy are exceptions. We had a houseboat 2 slips down from their parents, met and partied with them all many a time. Tried to talk Andy out of his infatuation with Marie Osmond Many a time, with no luck.

In any case, the above song should be an anthem for Phinatics.

Yeah, no doubt! I almost didn't marry her because I figured if she were willing to marry me, what other character flaws must she be hiding??!!!

As far as Disco goes, overall it probably wasn't the best era as far as music goes; a lot of garbage that would make your skin crawl, but there was some pretty good stuff mixed in there as well. I'm a HUGE Motown fan from way back & quite a bit of Disco had that Motown vibe..

Bill, forgot to give you this link which will give you the specific distance between a channel's broadcast tower to your zip.

I think that for Bob (D1) it would be measured in light years.

Just to show I wasn't kidding about only getting 6 channels. I was wrong when I said two are weak, they are moderate but still only 6 total.

Had to break them up as it would only let me list 4 per post.

Me too! They were the first concert I ever went to; I saw 'em in 1972 when I was 12 years old...1972, man that was a damn good year!

Saw Three Dog Night and CCR both when I was stationed down in Albuquerque back in 1970, loved them both and the tickets way back then were only a few bucks. Been a huge fan of both groups ever since.

That I am sure, was a killer show!!! Love CCR, it's a real shame that everyone in the band was so jealous of John Fogerty being the front man/singer/songwriter it tore the band apart! What a strange concept; having the guy with the most talent being the leader of the band...

CCR was and still is my favorite singing group for sure. Being an Ex Drummer my favorite instrumental group was/is The Ventures and I also loved to drum to Sandy Nelson.

I might have some interesting information for some of you

You do NOT need to have Directv to get their Sunday Ticket

You can simply download the Directv Sunday Ticket App and then Cast it to your tv

You can use Chromecast or a various number of other ways to watch games if they are not local to you

I'm not real tech savvy so is this a form of streaming? If so I cannot do that with Hugesnet which is my provider.

                            Yes it is streaming

I could be wrong but I do not think a company can prevent you from streaming

If you had a gaming system like Xbox or Blu Ray player you should be able to stream with that

Chromecast is a device you plug into the back of your tv using an HDMI port

It is plug n play and simple even for non techie ppl *$30 one time fee*
