  • Summer movie surprises

You know I have to say. Saw Ant Man and it was really good and I expected garbage. I also saw Vacation and expected garbage and it was solid. In both cases better than expected.

Went and saw MI Rogue Nation and thought it was very good. My wife and I don't get many date nights so we do enjoy going to the movies when we can. Yes by the time we pay a sitter, eat dinner and a movie we have spent close to $200 but it's the sanity we are buying!!!!

Don't go to movies much anymore since you almost have to take out a small loan to do so..There's so much garbage that's constantly spewed out that i'd much rather spend a buck at Redbox or a few bucks with Direct Demand & watch a movie in the comfort of my own home, that way if it's a snoozer or a loser it's no big deal..My wife did recently want to see the new Jurassic movie so i relented and man, i wish i would've held my ground because it was awful, though i'm sure it was a decent movie for families with younger kids. I thought it was just basically a re-do of the first movie, with close to the same exact storyline...

Yep, as others have already alluded to, a summer movie surprise to me would be going to one and not having to refinance my house to pay for it.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

Movies I liked - American Sniper, Insurgent, Unbroken, The Duff, John Wick, Pitch Perfect 2, Lucy

Movies I didn't like - Black and White, Focus Get Hard, Unfinished Business, Birdman, Foxcatcher, The Judge

American Sniper is the movie I liked the most. There are a bunch of "okay" movies that I've seen but not many that I would recommend. I love ALL Avenger related movies. I will NOT be seeing the new Fantastic Four movie! I will check out Ant-man because I am a superhero geek and because Finatic went in with low expectations and ended up liking it. Paul Rudd was funny when promoting it. He kept laughing at how ridiculous the plot was and could barely keep a straight face talking about the film.

I edited this post because the first post was more negative then this one. I'm sorry. I love movies and Hollywood has really disappointed me lately.

Rogue nation rocks! I like Tom Cruise movies outside of that no.
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.
