I see the Broncos cut him to make room for Mathis. Might be worth bringing in. I think he has better accuracy then Sturgis, not sure his kickoffs would be as good though.

Living in Gator country, I loved Sturgis. You may remember how pumped I was when we drafted him, he was absolute money in college. No one is more disappointed in him than I am.While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.Comment

I do remember that you and a few other forum members were really excited when the Dolphins drafted him. I can't fault you though because I was wanting the Dolphins to draft Bacarri Rambo or Ryan Swoop with that pick. I think those two guys are doing an NFL version of VH1's show Where Are They Now. :-) -
He was the highest rated kicker coming out that year and I thought it was a decent late round pick at the time. I think the nagging injuries have had an impact on him....but he has definitely been a disappointment. Worse still, Carpenter (who he replaced) has clearly outperformed him since....

While i definitely think we need to at least consider replacing Sturgis (EVERYTIME he walks out onto the field i cringe!
