  • Browns: Everything Must Go!

Browns shopping some great talent. LT- Joe Thomas, C- Alex Mack and OLB- Paul Kuger are all being shopped around. While I would like to have those players in a Dolphins uniform we have our own good talent at those positions except for MLB so maybe something there. The real reason I'm bringing this up is since the Clowns are willing to trade these players will they be willing to part ways with FS- Tashaun Gipson? Gipson is set to become an UFA, a need and I was blowing the old forum up for the Dolphins to make a run at him last year when he was a RFA. We would then have the best S duo in the league to bolster our secondary. We put Wake(which F%&[email protected]$& SUCKS) on IR and signed an O-lineman from the Colts PS. Let that last part sink in. THE COLTS PS. The team that has a worse O-line than we do and got a PS player that couldn't get on the field with that O-line, WTF? At least these players would be on the field helping us turn this thing around.

The NFL’s trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET and the Browns have reportedly talked about parting ways with two integral members of their offensive line.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns have “engaged in discussions” about trading left tackle Joe Thomas and center Alex Mack. There’s no word on whether those discussions have reached a serious level, but dealing either would signal yet another turn toward the future for the 2-5 Browns.
Mack can opt out of his contract after this season, making him an appealing trade candidate if the Browns don’t think he’ll be in Cleveland for the long term. Rapoport adds that Mack has a no-trade clause in his contract that can be waived if the right team wants to add him to their roster.
Thomas is signed for three more years with cap numbers of $9.5 million or more each season, but none of his base salaries are guaranteed. He turns 31 in December, but his play hasn’t been in decline this season and there are plenty of teams that would see a big upgrade if they added him to their offensive line.
In addition to the two offensive linemen, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on television Sunday morning that the team is also open to trading linebacker Paul Kruger. Kruger, who has just a half-sack on the season, is signed through 2017 with base salaries of $6.5 million and $7 million in the next two years.

We should be a Selling team also! But we will not move anyone because we are 1 player mentality from the playoffs/SB.

Oh, my God, the Browns are having a fire sale.
We already noted that the Browns’ two best offensive linemen, left tackle Joe Thomas and center Alex Mack, are both on the trade block, as is linebacker Paul Kruger. Now Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Barkevious Mingo is on the block as well, and the Browns have told teams that Mingo is available.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Mingo is a talented pass rusher who hasn’t always looked like a great fit for what the Browns want to do on defense. Cleveland took him with the sixth overall pick in the 2013 draft, and he has just seven career sacks — none this year.
The Browns surely won’t be able to get anything close to the Top 10 pick they spent on Mingo, but if they could get anything of value in a trade, they’d probably be willing to let Mingo go. This is a team building for the future, not trying to win in 2015.

Most of what they're dumping we don't need.

I do agree that Gipson would be an upgrade at FS, but I've never been impressed with Mingo, who has always been over rated. Mingo relies on his athleticism too much and lacks technique. He is weak against the run, can't shed blocks, and lacks work ethic. Also, he's only an OLB that can't get to the QB. We need quality ILBs.

Yeah I know but my reasoning behind this is if they're willing to trade these players then they should be willing to trade anybody. Gipson would be a great addition at $2,356,000 and a pick. Young, good, fills a need, will be better than any rookie drafted and can help us NOW. I looked at Hadens contract and he's not movable $11,700,000 cap hit and $21,200,000 in dead cap and too expensive this year anyway.

Yeah, wish we still had some of the players that Coyles and Philbin dumped. Instead we're looking at drafting their replacements - again.

Tannenbaum like to wheel n deal. We'll see what happens.

Davis, Smith, Dansby, Marshall, Bush to name a few. Philbin didn't want challengers because he got intimidated.

We lost nothing with Marshall or Bush. Smith is meh, but better than Taylor or Brice. A better coach keeps Davis and Dansby for sure tho and we definitely could use them.

RG- John Greco. $2,825,000 but he's 30. I'm just throwing this one out here as I don't know how he's doing this year but he was better than our OGs.

Greco hasn’t lost any reps to rookie Cameron Erving. The Browns have been giving Erving snaps at left tackle during the preseason, but he should open the year as a swing interior lineman. 30-year-old Greco received positive grades in both run blocking and pass protection from PFF last year. Gipson with a forced fumble on CJ2K. Nice turnover. Even nicer if he does that for Miami.

Any #Browns player is available at right price. Teams would have to make blockbuster offer for Pro Bowlers such as Thomas, Mack. None yet

The Dolphins won't make any moves. They THINK their coaching ability is great and that the players on the team are all they need. (See Mathis) I wouldn't get your hopes up for any trades happening. The draft and free agency is the only place where the Dolphins will be getting additional players.

Kinda funny that they are looking to trade their best two players on O at LT and C to rebuild, and we have our best two players on O at the same positions.
