Adding injury to insult..Not like it wasn't enough to get absolutely humiliated on National TV, we get the added parting gift of potentially losing Cam Wake for good! I'm not talking about just for the remainder of the season, but depending upon the severity of his achilles injury this could be the last time we see Wake in a Fins uni., or maybe even on a football field again, period. Rehabbing a severe achilles injury at 33-34 might prove too much to a player who relies so much on his explosion to be successful...

It's such a damn shame because after working so hard to work through his hamstring issues to bust out against the Titans & Texans & once again look like the Wake of old (7 sacks in last 3 games!!!) his reward is to be carted off the field, perhaps for the last time..Sometimes life can be so F#@KIN' UNFAIR!!!

Wake has always been one of my favorite players since bursting onto the scene 7 years ago as an undrafted player out of the CFL, a crying shame it could be the end of an era...If so, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING CAM!!! YOU DESERVED BETTER!!!!!

Cameron Wake’s Achilles is torn, out for the season

The Dolphins weren’t expecting good news aboutCameron Wake today, and they didn’t get it.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Wake is indeed out for the year with a torn Achilles.
That’s a huge blow for a Dolphins team coming off a tough loss to the Patriots last night.
But it’s even tougher for Wake, since the 33-year-old defensive end will have to come back from a difficult injury for a player who relies on explosiveness.
Terrell Suggs has done it before, so it can be done. But it’s still a long road for him, and for the Dolphins who can’t replace his kind of pass-rush ability.

Could not agree more Bill. Cam was special, and may well never play in a playoff game. If we had more like him, we would not need to be "inspired."

Achilles injuries are often career ending, especially for those that rely on explosion as a major part of their abilities. Terrell Suggs went from being dominant to average, and he didn't rely on explosion nearly as much as Wake. Sucks.

Really hate that it happened. He deserved better. Age caught up with him I guess. Classy guy, never complained about the holds and muggings he took and was often as beautiful to watch as a Japanese Katana in motion as he went after QBs. I hope he retires at this point. He's been too injured the past few seasons.

Makes the loss last night insignificant as a team. This injury is much more important and much more painful to the team and it's players as well as the fans. Very sad day.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

When I saw his face last night I knew it was bad, and when I saw the replay I knew exactly what it was. I ruptured my Achilles when I was 30 and I knew it right away. The pain wasn't horrible, but I felt it crawl back up in my leg. I was frustrated more than in agony. I feel for him, been a great player for Miami and hate that this could be the last time we see him in a Miami uniform.

Not only does Tannehill's poor play influence last night's score, the hurt that causes us doesn't even compare to being without Wake for the rest of the season. If Tannehill would have kept the offense out there for more than 5 minutes each drive, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Thanks Tannehill

So now, Tannehill is not just solely to blame for the loss of the game, but now also for Wake's injury... that's a ridiculous stance and statement.

Couldn't agree more. Watching the replay I knew immediately he blew his Achilles. Wake has been the heart and soul of that dline for a long time, and thanks to the loser pick of Dion Jordan the guy we spent two high draft picks to groom to replace Wake is smoking a joint in the keys right now when he should have been the next man up.
Not Inbred... Just keeping it in the family 💯🤣🤣

I completely forgot about Jordan. That was yet another Ireland mistake. He would definitely help the situation. Should we look into trading his rights for a low draft pick, or cash next season? Would someone like Campbell keep his a$$
Straight? What should we do with him?

Agreed... Glad Wake at least went out with a drive ending sack against Brady in this game.

The Dolphins lost the Thursday Night Football game to the Patriots, but maybe more importantly, they  lost the corner stone of their team, DE Cameron Wake. The monster of a pass rusher accumulated 7 sacks in the past 3 games coming into this week. Wake went down during an edge rush Thursday Night and was […]
