OK this is a tough one. What do you say Dolphin Nation? Time to predict who will win Thursday night in our match up with the hated Patriots.

I say we play competitively for a half and the Patriots pull away late in the game. Fins lose 31-21.

The Phins d line disrupts the Patriots timing wich is huge.
This team has been built to beat the Patriots the same way the Giants beat them in two superbowls.
Some one you dont hardly know today you will love fiday morning.

I say a near repeat of our first matchup from last season. 34-20, (I know it was 33-20, but I substituted a TD for two of the FG's)

I want them to win period and every time I pick them to win they lose so I'm going the other way. I don't care if I'm wrong here, I just want them to win, not me.

I kind of see things the same way as Phinatic. I think the Dolphins are going to carry their momentum into this game playing really hard, smashmouth football. I think that will last for a while, maybe a full half, it might even carry over into the second half. But, I do expect the team to come back down to earth in this game and then the Patriots will show the Dolphins what a real well coached team plays like. I expect the DEFENSE to keep the Dolphins in the game for the first half or so but then Brady and the offense will make adjustments and pick apart the Dolphins weak secondary with his dink and dunk BS.

It comes down to coaching in my opinion. To beat the Patriots you really do have to out-coach them. Belichick is the most prepared coach in the league. He watches countless hours of game tape on each team he is preparing to play, watching each play for hours. If a team tries to run a certain play they think will work, he has an answer for it, on both sides of the ball. That is why the Wildcat worked so well. He does NOT do well against plays he hasn't seen before. That is why, in my opinion, this coaching staff should burn their playbooks and come up with an entirely different scheme on both sides of the ball to throw the Patriots off their game. Give them looks that they don't have tape on in the key to victory.

I'm thinking we'll know within the first few minutes what kind of game this will be...Highly competitive or will we come crashing back to reality??

My head tells me prepeare for the crash but i'm going with my heart & hoping what we've seen the past two weeks is our new reality..

Our front 4 can get pressure on it's own. Take away the underneath routes from Brady. He does nothing without 3 to 5 yard passes. He's the master of dink and dunk. Interrupt these and do not let Gronk get free. We win as long as we take care of the football.

Not that long ago Dan Campbell was a tight end in this league. That means he was part of the passing game, blocked for running plays, part of the o line.
He knows how this stuff works.
Plus the fact he is crazy as a sprayed roach helps too.

For the past two weeks I have not made a prediction and we've done well. I will reframe again this week to help my phins pull off a major upset.

Never, ever, ever underestimate the Patriots. They are an outstanding team, even when they don't cheat (if that ever happens). Billichek and company have a knack for figuring out other teams, making adjustments for the 2nd half of games and winning them. If the Dolphins can play the whole game like they did in the 1st half last weekend, they could beat the Pats. The defense will have to keep pressure on Brady, and the o-line will have to give RT plenty of time to pass. They also have to NOT make stupid mistakes and penalties. Remember, New England is not Tennessee or Houston.
