  • Most telling moment in my opinion...

First off let me just say what a great game & total team effort for 'interim' HC Dan Campbell's first career win; he definitely deserves a ton of credit for having his team prepared & fired up straight out the gates!

As far as the game, there were a lot of things that went down yesterday that enabled the Fins to finally play close to the level we pretty much all expected to see from them from week one (Playing with passion & fire; something that's been absent the whole season - Hell, what am i talking about, more like the whole time Queasy was HC here!!!, swarming gang-tackling D, D making plays & getting turnovers, great gameplan running the ball and refusing to abandon the run straightaway, overcoming mistakes & penalties, taking a couple shots downfield, Tannehill running with a bit more assertiveness, not sitting on the ball just before the half, the OLine opening up some big holes, Miller back to running the ball like he did when Moreno was his running mate, and most of all taking the field as a team that looked both prepared & emotional!!!)..

But in my opinion the most telling moment was when we were up 24-3, Tennessee finally found the end zone to cut the lead to 24-10 and we found ourselves only up two scores in a game that we had absolutely dominated from the opening bell..Our next possession we were backed up deep in our own territory and RT took a sack to push us even closer to our own end zone, Darr got off a lousy punt which we were also penalized on giving the Titans an extremely short field to work with (around our 30 yard line) The crowd was going crazy, the momentum had seriously swung &Tennessee was in prime position to cut the score to a single TD and possibly stick a dagger in us & deflating us of all of the momentum, confidence, energy & swagger we'd played with to that point..This is the exact point that a Philbin-coached team would've folded like a cheap tent, Tennessee would've gouged the Fins D for the TD, held us to a few more 3 & outs and cruised to a two TD victory while our whole team watched from the sidelines deflated & confused..We've all seen this scenario play out more times than we care to remember...BUT yesterday was different, our defense stepped up with a HUGE interception, we stopped the Titans & their fans who just seconds before could smell the blood in the water, dead in their tracks, our confidence never wavered & we didn't miss a beat as we cruised to an easy win!!!

I realize this is a single win and only counts for one, no matter how impressive we looked..but in the grand scheme of things it could count for so much more to a team that just a couple of weeks ago looked as bored, listless & lethargic as i've ever seen an NFL squad look..They always say an NFL team takes on the persona of their coach and with a fired up guy like DC at the helm i say bring it!!!

What's this? DP with a positive vibe? lol...

Completely agree on all points. Especially the playing aggressive to win the game. Hoping we continue with the new attitude and staying aggressive on O and D.

Hey, i ALWAYS come out of the gates with a positive outlook, hope springs eternal..But i can't help it that i've been fooled so many times before with promises of the 'THIS TIME IT WILL BE DIFFERENT' BULL-SHIT only to be force-fed the same old shit under a different name, that i'm a bit jaded at this point...Who knows, maybe just maybe this time it actually will be different....

lol... yeah, hoping this isn't a mirage or bait and switch. That said, Dan is coaching for his future and has a good thing going right now. The players love him and were obviously motivated. Hoping we'll see it continue.

The most astounding part of the changes in this game - it was all internal. The coaches and the player changes were already on the team. Makes me pissed to realize to what extent Philbin and Coyle had mismanaged the roster and starters.

Not only did we come up with a big time INT, but deep in our own Endzone RT throws a deep pass, connects and on that drive we scored. That was the nail....

I'm more pissed that Ross and/or Tannenbaum didn't see it sooner...Philbin & Co. should've been gone years ago!!!

Ross bought a team with a "Football god" in place. When that deity slithered out of the building as he did, it left the entire franchise in the lurch. Ross didn't have the "trusted adviser" to turn to, that he had likely counted on. He gave Tuna's staff a chance, even though he KNEW something wasn't right. He probably felt somehow obligated to Sparano as a result. (That and the 2008 playoff appearance). The 2012 hiring of Philbin was applauded by many fans at the time, since we had failed to get Jeff Fisher.
I can't excuse Ross for NOT bringing in a VP of his own when he bought the team, but then again, I can't really fault him for believing Parcells could get us there, after the nightmarish 7 years we had just gone through... .

It's a forgiveable offense that you hired the wrong guy (happens all the time), less so when it takes twice as long to realize this as necessary...

I think the most telling moment was when we were backed into our own end zone and we had the nuggets to throw it 35 yards down the field. That was gutsy and made a huge statement.

What I liked was after going 89 yards and scoring a td to go up 31-10, we get the ball back after titans go 4 and out. Then we go for the jugular and throw it in the endzone for another td. Something we don't ever do.

Honorable mention.....the blitz to end the game.

Yes that was perhaps the biggest play of the game. If we played it conservatively and had to punt from our own end zone there was still plenty of time for them to get back into the game with the score 24-10. It was not only gutsy to call such a play but the fact that Tannehill actually connected with Stills for a 35 yard gain was even more astonishing.

Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

Telling moment? For me it was not seeing the open mouth of confusion and disconnect that belonged to one Joe Philbin. Instead, it was the open mouth of Coach Campbell scream (most probably) profane epithets at Titans players, and encouragement to his Dolphins squad.

Yes, I'm happy to not see the Philbin faces of cluelessness any further. I won't miss his stubborn in denials.

Phuckbin kept telling us he would correct the problem every week. He was the problem.

Unfortunately, he and Coyle cost us a ton of talent. Every Sunday former Dolphins players that Joe had jettisoned are making plays and doing well elsewhere. Nolan Carroll is the latest from this weekend. He had a pick 6 last night the Eagles and played really well.

I saw that, but i had zero objections to Carroll being jettisoned, i mean i would've personally driven him to the airport if asked..he sucked...

Like Reshad Jones, Carroll was a project. He played relatively pretty well his last season here. IMO, we should have kept him and dumped Wilson, who Coyles loved. But again, coaching and schemes have made a world of difference with a large number of guys who Ireland brought in, who are now shining elsewhere.
