    WTF, with each moment that passes and Coyles is still in the building Iose more and more hope that this season can be salvaged and Campbell has what it takes to right the ship.

    Mistake if he keeps him. The players are riding a tide of emotion right now. Retaining Coyles would put a damper on that.

    Best thing Dan could do would be to part ways with him.

        This is a huge mistake, the players don't like Coyle, Campbell has to take a step back and look at this realistically.....He will lose the team, he won't gain respect, he'll be looked as a weak coach from the get go....

          Agree on all counts...Keeping Coyle would make everything Campbell said in his introductory presser just seem like a load of shit!

            Just shows how bad this staff is that there is no one on it that can step into the OC or DC roles. I know many of us have been saying promote Duffner but he and Coyle go back a long way so by pulling Coyle out and putting Duffner in do we gain anything?

                I'm sure Coyle is super worried; he can't get a defense to stop a single rusher, i'm sure he has absolutely no idea how to stop a mad crowd of pissed-off fans looking to burn him at the stake...

                  put Grimes wife as DC , she can get in their faces and she has the same arrest record as NFL players so she would be respected . Lol

                  Really shows what the root of the problem is. You don't need a brilliant HC to win in this league - but what you do need is a HC that realizes the importance of surrounding himself with VG Coordinators. You can also probably get away with mediocre coordinators if you have a strong HC. Unfortunately we have a weak HC and obviously weak Coordinators which leads to the mess we're seeing now. Ugh!

                    Reminds me of a quote by Bear Bryant about only hiring coaches under him who were smarter and more capable than he was. It they weren't smarter or more capable - he didn't need 'em.

                      The funny thing is, that's how I am in business. I want my supervisors and managers to be better than I am. I always joke with them (but serious at the same time) if I have to do your job why am I paying you? I am not intimidated to have good people working for me, but I have worked for people that are.

                        It's not up to Campbell what Coyle does after he's fired, as far as I'm concerned he can go where all NFL failures go, UPS.....

                      Couldn't agree more. One of the things I always say is I don't want to be the smartest guy in the room, if I am I don't have what I need around me to thrive.
