  • Great Campbell Quote from today

Campbell, who spoke to Ross and Tannenbaum separately today: "I don't want guys just to do their job. I want them to dominate. Just doing you're job is this. You go 8-8, 7-9, 9-7....

Fk and yes! He's talking the right the talk and seems to be animated and fired up. Just hope he can deliver. Beating the Titans on Oct 18 would be a great start. ;-)

If they jump out and beat the Titans and the Texans, this team could rally and believe. Then anything is possible.

Agreed. The next 2 games are very winnable if we're a motivated team. Going to be interesting to see what happens with Coyle and how Dan handles the offense. I loved that he called out Pouncey, Suh, Wake, and Misi during his presser.

We should have Albert and Grimes back as well. Hopefully some of the younger guys will be able to step up and get a shot to play now that Dan has said every position is an open competition and he's playing the guys who compete the hardest. To me that only leaves Landry as safe.

Landry, Matthews, Jones, Jenkins are safe. Beyond those 4?? Who knows.

The Dolphins have a new head coach. They do NOT have a new Defensive Coordinator OR a new Offensive Coordinator so I think the only thing we will see if a little more of a spark but as long as those two idiots are still calling the plays there is no hope for this season.

I don't know if Campbell can turn this around or not, but listening to him talk kind of reminds me of Dan Quinn. BUt if they don't play hard he may kick somebody's ass...

            lol.......

Want to watch him punch someone out. He really reminds you of a young Bill Cowher.

He'll be just a wee bit more intimidating to the players than Philbin was... ;-)

Rumor Rex Ryan is already wondering if can get him to come over and bang his wife while he watches. lol....

He's gonna have the opportunity to become the first Fins coach to ever beat the Texans! Would look killer on his resume!!

History says we won't make the playoffs but a winning season would be a start.

"Number of mid-season coaching changes since 1966, teams
6: Atlanta, New Orleans, San Diego
              5: Buffalo, Indianapolis
4: Cleveland, Detroit, New England, Tennessee
3: Arizona, Cincinnati, Denver, San Francisco
2: Kansas City, Miami, Minnesota, N.Y. Jets, Oakland, Philadelphia, St. Louis
1: Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville, N.y. Giants, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Washington
0: Baltimore, Carolina, Chicago, Green Bay, Pittsburgh
Note: Only once since 1966 has a team that made a mid-season coaching change played in the playoffs that season. In 1978, New England Patriots head coach Chuck Fairbanks was suspended before the last week of the NFL season due to negotiating a contract to coach the University of Colorado football team the following season. He was replaced for the final NFL game, but did return to coach the Pats for the playoffs."

The Oakland Raiders earlier this week fired coach Dennis Allen and replaced him with former Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano. Sparano will become the ninth coach of the Raiders since the turn of t…

Only one team has won the championship game(not superbowl) with a mid-season coaching change and that was the Houston Oilers of the AFL in 1961. Time to make history!

This team has no offensive line, terrible linebacking, one CB, who is hurt, one Safety and a big ol' goober at QB. Let's not be foolish and win games this year. Trade #17 and prepare for next year.

If he sucks like so many say - who would trade for him and why? Who do we start under center that is clearly better and ready to lead us to the playoffs? Or are we talking about an unproven rookie dice roll and another multi-year rebuild?

Exactly Alpha. Mo matter how good or bad we all feel RT is, there is no doubt he's the best we have at this point.

I was expecting the fanbase to kind of react this way, hoping that a new coach would breathe new life into this team and they would start winning. Ummmm, the Dolphins still have Moe and Larry as their coordinators. Just because they fired Curly doesn't mean this team is headed to the playoffs. This team still sucks! They "might" play with more enthusiasm now playing for a guy who is younger and has more fire when he talks but at the end of the day he is still a tight ends coach who got lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. (If you actually think coaching this team is good luck) Does Campbell know how to be the head coach of an NFL team? Does he also know how to run an offense while running a team? If not, we are still screwed because Lazor certainly has no idea how to run one. "Hey, it's 3rd and long, for the 17th time this game. What should we do?"..........:What else? Have Tannehill throw a 3 yard pass even when the DB is draped all over him." ..............Lazor SUCKS! Coyle SUCKS! A new coach is not going to change much. The only way Campbell can turn this ship around is if he fires Coyle and gives Lazor a verbal kick in the teeth and lets him know if he calls one more worthless ****ing screen he is going to drag him out to the gold 50 yard line and beat the shit out of him in front of everyone. I am so ****in' sick of those worthless screen passes on 3rd and long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't under estimate the Head Coaches role in play calling, or even scheme. This guys is going to tell Coyle to blitz and be aggressive. He is going to tell Lazer and Tannehill to attack down the field and use the read option, etc. etc. etc. Unlike Philbin he is going to grab someone by the jersey and bench them for making stupid penalties. Trust me..that kind of mentality makes a difference. It may not be a miracle turn around, but it can win you 9 games or more.

If he is going to demand all this effort from the players and hold them accountable, then you can damn well bet he will do the same for the staff. Including Coyle and Lazor.
