One year over year observation

Last year we were struggling on offense too and then at about the half way point we started doing the read option, and some designed runs for Tannehill. We ran quite a few in preseason. When we use that it seems to open up the offense for us. Why have we not used it all year? Maybe because Ryan tweaked his ankle?
