Philbin was short on answers after the game. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that Philbin started his postgame press conference by saying, "It starts with me," before moving on to an admission that he’s not a magician.
“We are what we are right now.” Philbin said.“We’ll look at everything we’re doing. If I had a magic potion, I would have brought it out earlier. … We are either going to stick together or not … We don’t have anyone to blame. There’s nobody to blame.”
My Bold Prediction was that the Dolphins would get humiliated by the Bills by the score of 37 to 17. I was off by a little, since the score was 41 to 14, but it was pretty close. I also stated that the Dolphins would lose to the Jets the following Sunday and that Coach Philbin would be fired sometime during the Bye Week.
I am sticking to my prediction. However, after reading Philbin's answers to these questions I think the sooner they fire him the better. "We either need to stick together or not." (?) What the ****!! What kind of head coach makes a statement like that?!?!?!? Those are the words of a quitter, a loser, someone who is completely lost and has no idea what to do about it. "There's nobody to blame." The Dolphins have NOBODY to blame for this humiliating game and start to the season?!? I don't think that is true, JOE! I think the blame is ALL YOURS! These answers really fu**ing pissed me off! You need to go ASAP! What a joke of a coach!
Cuch suggested hiring Schwartz as the DC and I am all for that idea. I don't really think the Dolphins would hire a DC in the middle of the season and I highly doubt someone like Schwartz would take on the POS job but I do like the idea. I would even be okay with hiring him as the interim head coach. I have heard MANY people state that he is a **** but I would rather have a **** as a head coach then a bumbling idiot with no leadership or motivational skills!
