  • WORST GAME OF PHILBIN ERA! (so far)

Could we do ANY worse without ANY HC?
Sadly we don't have a coordinator worthy of the position THEY hold, let alone as an interim HC. The only way to replace Philbin at this point would be to go out-of-house,,,

Agreed, we would be better off right now letting the players run the team than the coaches that are supposed to be putting together a game plan...

Home opener, 3rd game, I thought maybe we we're just hiding what we are until the Buff opener, OMG, we aren't.....

Fire Coyles and hire Jim Schwartz as the DC. He knows how to use Suh and get to the QB. He'd be ideal to step in right now.

Kind of ironic that the Jills carried Schwartz off the field last year when they beat Detroit.

Realistically I think this is what happens. We get handled again next week in London and Philbin is fired the following day and that gives the interim coach 2 weeks to prepare for the next game. It's probably the smartest thing to do at this point.
              Can we sign this guy?

Agreed... before the BYE would be best. Ross should have fired him 2 seasons ago instead of just forcing him to fire Sherman. From appearances, he's lost this team.

Man, it pisses me off to watch other, well coached and well disciplined teams in contrast to ours. Hope Tannenbaum is in Ross' ear about replacing Philbin.

Tannenbaum is part of the problem, all of the staff needs to go, tannenbaum, hickey and philbin and company

I sometimes wonder if we are cursed. We always seem to make the wrong decisions in terms on the coaches we hire and the players we select in free agency and the draft. Then it seems like all ex Dolphins always come back to haunt us. Look at today Charles Clay torched us, Chris Hogan beat us for a TD and Incognito helped pave the way for 150 rushing yards against us. I am just so tired of the same old BS.

Incog not being here is squarely Philbins fault....I would have never gotten rid of him....But what do I know, we have such an outstanding OL we can dump good players.....

Tannenbaum just got here and assumed the reins as VPO. He's not going anywhere. Everyone else is a different story.

It isvery difficult to find a silver lining in that performance today. This was my first look at my team and that was a big bucket of whoop-ass poured over their home stadium. Shameful in execution, mind bogling that this coaching staff cant get these guys motivated past the coin toss. My 2 cents in no particular order

                      - THill can not carry this team because he is deficient in the areas typically the home of big plays..General downfield bombs, specifically down the sidelines, and fade routes to the corner. He might be a different, better QB in these areas with an NFL caliber offensive line, but sorry no more excuses. He lacks that killer instinct and is lackiig in general fire. I think DF stated itbest that he iseems to only throw to a small box in the middle of the field and that doesnt win championships

                      - speaking of fire, even the announcers said several times how flat and inaniimate the Phins were. How is it possible for a coach to let his team come out like that in a home opener against a hated Division rival. This boggles my mind.

                      - The Oline as expected was abused. No running game means no chance for the Phins with this conservative offense and THill playing it safe and robotic.

                      - the DLine was a revelation to me. After years of thinking they were good, but not pkaying good, they got manhandled today. I was not impressed by Suh at all. So strange that a guy that is so dominant can disappear for the first 3 games on his new team.

                      - Brice McCain was a cardboard cutout. Even when he got close he had awkward ball skills. What a mess.

                      - can we please all think twice before we insert the following phrase into our posts....."this team has too much talent to xxx...". IMHO, no they dont. The coaches and Ross were not on the field today. This is an overrated team.

And a great job he has done so far. Suh appears to be a free agent signing bust of epic proportions and he wasted our 2nd and 3rd round picks who aren't doing anything for us Phillips and Stills. He also failed to address our needs. No wonder Jets fans hated him.

Signing Suh was not a mistake. They way Coyles is using both Suh and Wake is. Go watch the tape, Suh is doing his job and making his assignments drawing 2 and 3 blockers. The problem isn't the talent - it's the coaching and that isn't on Tbaum or Hickey, it's on Ross, who has refused twice to fire Philbin and Coyles when he should have.

Isn't Mangini a consultant for us? Give him the interim job and see if he can earn it. Face it....we couldn't do much worse if we had a cardboard cutout in the hc or dc role.

Mangini isn't a consultant for us as far as I know, but hell I would give him the rest of this year to see what he can do.
