  • Interesting idea/dream

Although I don't want to do this, let's assume this season is another failure, and the coaches all get tossed. If I were Ross, I would BEG Marino to be our next HC. After Marino, I would hope he asks JT to be our DC, and have Zach coach our LBs. Not sure on the OC. In my opinion, that is a coaching staff other teams would fear. Anyone have anything to add?

Please tell me you're kidding; as far as i know Dan the Man has zero coaching experience at any level, JT zero, Zach zero..Not to mention, judging by Danno's playing days he has zero patience or tolerance to boot!

While i agree that this whole staff needs to pretty much be tossed..i wouldn't count on our X-Supermen to fly in & save the day..even in my dreams!...

I would be happy if they hired Marino as a QB coach but other then that I am not sure he is qualified to coach at any other position. (The same goes for the other players)

I agree with Phinsane. I don't think Marino has the makeup to be a coach. He would expect everyone to have the same fire and passion he played with and very few have that.
        Can we sign this guy?

Marino!? lol Maybe with a bottle a whiskey with a Gatorade chaser.... We need a no-nonsense players coach.... From the slim Pickens, I think Sean Payton would be the one I would pursue...

I'm glad in this dream we can wake up. Former players can be groomed for success in coaching but I don't want the Dolphins to be OTJ training center any longer.

Also like Marino as QB coach idea.

I like all three as position coach assistance. Marino has worked a little with RT. None of them have any real coaching experience and those roles would be perfect for getting their feet wet if they're even interested.

If things fall part this year I would go after Sean Payton if he becomes available. I wouldn't mind Chuck Pagano as a consolation prize if he also becomes available.

Sean Payton doesn't seem like a booth guy that would like to be on air so I think he would get right back into coaching if things fell apart in New Orleans. The Jimmy Graham trade still baffles me. If he had anything to do with that maybe he wants out.
