You could have started this thread with "Once Upon A Time" or "A Long, Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far, Far Away".

    Hope "part B" comes true!

        BOLD PREDICTION

        WEEK 3 - Dolphins 17 vs Bills 37

        WEEK 4 - Dolphins 13 vs Jets 24

        BYE WEEK

        Head Coach Joe Philbin FIRED!

Offensive Coordinator Bill Lazor is promoted to the new Interim Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins

        WEEK 5 - Dolphins 31 vs Titans 17

        WEEK 6 - Dolphins 27 vs Texans 13

Miami Dolphins are 3 - 3 for their next matchup with the Patriots
We'll be lucky if Ross acts that swiftly. I personally believe Philbin isn't going anywhere until end of season. Part of why I'm more depressed then ever.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

I figure if the Fins lose to both the Bills and Jets, it will be Coyle whose gone, as Joe will throw him under the bus. ANYONE can be promoted to interim DC that's been with the Dolphins at least 2 years. Unfortunately his name isn't Todd Bowles. Fins had that chance, blew it.

If the Fins miss the playoffs, that's when the ax will fall on Jurassic Joe, an OK guy over his head. He made millions in Miami, no mourning allowed, other than for his horrible loss of a child. At times, I wonder if there is some sort of block with getting close to his players, many not much older than the son he lost.

        3-3 and Philbin/Coyle gone I'll take it!
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

If Queasy Joe gets the ax it will take way more than 4 games. At least Thanksgiving or later.

I disagree. I say if we lose to the Jets, he's gone.

If he is going to be fired, why wait? Do it now and move on and try to salvage something of this season. Otherwise we are screwed.

A "bold prediction" would be we win the next two games and enter the Bye week at 3 and 1. We then win the next two and are 5 and 1 when we play NE. Philbin wins coach of the year and Suh earns every penny of his contract. Now that's bold.. lol

The only way it happens that early is if they go 1-3 and look very bad against the Bills and Jets, then I think Ross could make the move with Tannebaum poking him.

If it's going to happen I think it could be after the Thursday night Patriot game. That would give Lazor (assuming he is appointed Interim HC) three extra days to prepare.

Here is my Bold Prediction for this Sunday. Tannehill throws for 2 TD's 0 INT's 250 yards and is only sacked twice. We rush for 90 yards as a team. Our defense finally shows up and we stuff the run and harass Taylor and force him into committing 2 turnovers. Dolphins 24 Bills 16

Dolphinsfreak, like Joe Philbin, Lazor has ZERO head coaching experience, not high school nor college. He was a college QB at Cornell. He's had several OC gigs, or QB coaching gigs. His last job before Miami, like Joe, he was an OC in name only, as neither called plays. I would not feel very good with ANOTHER candidate with NO real administrative experience as president...err, I mean Head Coach of the Dolphins.
Whoops. Ya can't take me ANYWHERE.

I fear Ross, in an effort to avoid stress would sign Lazor to 3 years if the Fins somehow managed to win 8-9 games, which, with this schedule should have been a foregone conclusion. With THIS team's POSSIBILITIES A Gus Malzahn TYPE guy would jump at the Dolphins gig. No more recruiting against Saban, Urban, Jim Harbaugh etc.
Not a lot of former NFL coaches worth a damn, maybe Mike Smith. If so, it would be fun being on the GIVING side of those cut blocks. PLEASE, no more assistants, even youngish ones.
