The Dolphins are coming off a tough and humiliating loss to the lowly Jaguars. There has been a lot of finger pointing going on, mainly at the Dolphins coaching staff, primarily at Coyle's defense and Philbin too. Even though these coaches deserve everything that people are saying about them, is it all their fault?

Even though Tannehill looked sharp at times during this game he did NOT look like a FOURTH YEAR quarterback out there. He is NOT a Field General out there! He is more like a private out there, lost and trying to find his way.

In his fourth season Tannehill should be able to survey the field and find the best option on most, if not every play. He left players WIDE OPEN out on that field on Sunday, as per usual. On the final drive he had Landry WIDE OPEN on the left-side of the field, I mean wide open for about 30 yards. It could have possibly put the Dolphins into field goal range or close to it. But, as in typical Tannehill fashion, he didn't survey the field and go through his progressions. You could see Wallace getting upset that his quarterback didn't look his way and see that he was wide open. Ooops, did I type Wallace? I meant to type Landry. YES, I did mean to type that because I feel that if Tannehill keeps this up, he will have more wide receivers angry at him that will speak out.

With the Dolphins behind with 2 minutes left on the clock in the 4th quarter is Tannehill the quarterback you have confidence in marching your team down the field to help lead your team to victory? Did you think "yes" or did you think "we have no other options right now" ?

It's time for us to prepare ourselves for another coaching change and rebuild and hopefully they will try and find Tannehill's replacement. He is what I have been saying for a while, he is nothing more than Chad Henne 2.0, just a slightly better quarterback then the worthless Henne.

This coaching staff sucks but I have no confidence in the Dolphins quarterback either. Hopefully the new coaching staff will put a bigger emphasis on building a strong offensive line rather then find a bunch of wide receivers for a mediocre quarterback.

We can win a super bowl with Tannehill! Fix the shitty line and watch him flourish. Yes it's just my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Good to have guys like you and Kelbail that are ultra tough on QB expectations though. It's alpreciated.

RT didn't put this OL together, and RT can't play QB and LT or RT or either G position at once. I don't care who you put back there this OL is the WORSE OL in the NFL right now....

You think RT is going to survey the field, yea he has enough time during film sessions, but he'll never have enough time on Gameday.....

The Dolphins can't run the ball, can't pick up a blitz, can't even block one on one against a crappy DL....now teams know all this after 2 games, if I was opposing DC, I would blitz baby blitz RT each down, what...you really think we could run the ball on the blitz, nope, we'll just end up 5 yards behind the LOS....

Tannehill is an athletic quarterback but you wouldn't know that if you had no idea who he was an watched the Dolphins play. I did NOT like Manziel when he came out and I like him less now, but I watched him use his athleticism this Sunday to expend plays. That is something Tannehill could/should do considering this front office didn't bother addressing the o-line the way that they should. He doesn't do this though. Why? He is just not a natural quarterback. He doesn't scramble and extend plays, he doesn't sense pressure, he doesn't go through his progressions, he doesn't throw to the best option because he would rather throw to the shorter, safer option, etc. He is just not a good quarterback in my opinion and he could have won both of the Dolphins first two games but instead Landy won the first game for us DESPITE Tannehill trying to give the game away AND yesterday Tannehill could have beat the Jags in the final minutes but he just doesn't know how to do that. Guys were open, he just didn't see them because in his fourth season he still doesn't know where to look. Pathetic.

Tannehill give the game away? Sounds like Suh and our QB is in cahoots to oust the coaches. Good!

I'm not sure what game your watching DF, but I saw Tanny many times use his legs to extend plays. Maybe you can't recall the scrambling outside of the pocket to fire a laser on the run to Williams for a TD? Considering we have a pathetic OL he still threw for 356 yards and two TD's. That's pretty good numbers. I think many times us armchair QB's think we know what is best but put yourself in that collapsing pocket and about 3 seconds and tell me you have the time to scan the field for the open target. Even the analyst pointed out a few time of him doing his progressions and finding the open receiver. He can't do this every snap but if he had a better protecting OL, he could probably go through his progressions and find the open receiver. I think Tanny can lead us to the playoffs but he is only one player. Give him a protective OL and he already has the weapon and I know Tanny can flourish! JMHO! Bash it if you want!!

I saw the same game that you saw. I watched the plays that you mentioned BUT, those are not the only plays I watched. I also watched the plays that he sailed the ball way over the receivers head out of bounds, the play where he threw to nobody, the plays where there were players open and he never turned his head, etc. I have no sympathy for the o-line woes, most fans wanted Parker and Still and didn't feel that addressing the offensive line was a big concern so this is the result of that, a QB who will lead the league in sacks while "attempting" to learn the quarterback position. I will bash and if Lazor is doing his job properly he will too.

Tannehill does NOT deserve a pass on the finger pointing. He was pathetic in the first game and that should have been a loss because of how terrible he played. The second game was a little different, the entire team played bad, and he looked good in the first couple quarters but when the game is on the line and the passes are in need of being deeper, he falls apart.

He did complete over 68% of his passes. You seem to be focusing on the 14 incompletions more than the 30 completions. But in any event, nothing from the oline, nothing from Parker or Stills and no running game at all. Combined with a poor gameplan and an entire team that was unprepared, what do we expect from RT? 600 yds a game? 700? 1000?

Tanny after two games ranks #6 in passing yards , he's 10th with a 101 passer's rating, he has no interceptions all the while having the worse OL in the NFL. To me that speak that Tanny can play in the nfl and has the talent to be a great QB. I'm a Tanny fan and he's improved greatly over the past 3 years. Now if could only get a head coach that knows how to manage a game clock and not blow crucial timeouts when you need those.

Numbers mean nothing to me. Mariota is probably ranked higher. These numbers will change over time. When I read or see that Aaron Rodgers didn't throw an interception I am really impressed because he throws way down the field and takes MANY chances in every game. Tannehill? He rarely takes chances. He throws to the safe option on almost every play. I have noticed the improvements over the years but in his fourth season I don't think he has improved enough and especially in the areas that actually matter the most. I respect your opinion, I just happen to disagree with it. It's all good.

I have to disagree about Tannehill,he plays tough with a crappy line. Coaches could help him out. Our offense was working better last year with intermediate passing routes instead of what I've seen this year. Our offensive line can't protect that long. They are terrible.that what juice, Stills and Cameron are best at I thought.... Take a shot once in a while. Tannehill is playing good ball better then Luck, Wilson etc. Btw we now know Wallace was part of the problem he's done nothing in minnesota

Saying Wallace has done nothing is like saying Parker sucks. It's only been two games so we don't know if Parker is going to be a stud or a bust and we don't know how Wallace will do in Minnesota, yet. I watched the first game and Bridewater threw an EXCELLENT deep pass to Wallace, one that Tannehill could never throw, and if it wasn't for a blatant pass interference on that play where the DB was holding his left arm down Wallace would have had a great catch, a better stat line, etc. Time will tell............

Wallace not a number 1 receiver and no guarantee he would of caught that pass wide open with his poor receiving skills, he is a tad better then Ginn but with a bigger price tag. At least Ginn has a TD lol

I think they have brain washed RT into thinking too much about mistakes, which is why the running part of him is lost. If you got at tentative QB and nothing is there, from the sideline yell as a coach. GD run GD. Move it! Like a dog at the track they'll take off.

One thing I will say about Tannehill after yesterday - I would never expect to see a stat line of over 360 yards passing, 2 TD's, no INT's and have us lose the game. He still shows inaccuracy, lack of pocket presence etc.., but he put up numbers good enough to win when you spent the offseason signing what is supposed to be the best NT in football. I'm not going to defend he is or isn't the guy, but I will defend the fact that he didn't cost us the game. He didn't throw 3 picks and give the Jags the game. Our defense is responsible for this loss. Our offense is NOT GOOD ENOUGH by any means, but our defense is allowing other teams to control the clock and field position throughout the game. Our defense continues to give up 20 yards on 3rd and 16 situations. There isn't a dam thing Tannehill can do about that.

That game once again came down to not making plays when they needed too. Penalities killed several drives for us, and extended even more for them. Rookie kicker misses a 42 yard field goal giving Jags one last shot then... Grimes dropped a potential pick 6 that could have made the score 20 to 17 at half, instead they get a questionable PI call, an even more favorable spot and make a 56 yarder as the half expires for a 20 to 13 lead. We get a huge stop and sack and Aikens is called for hands to the face. James was pathetic the entire game at RT, at least 2 crucial holding calls against him, both on decent gains.

Tannehill is part of this mess, but right now we can win with him if our coaching staff and defense did their jobs.

Since I live in NY I get all the Buffalo games. Two things were evidently clear to me watching the Pats play the Bills Sunday. The Bills D-line didn't pressure Brady at all and he had all day to throw which lead to a career day for him and 2) the Pats D-line didn't pressure Tyrod Taylor at all and he even looked decent on the filed.

I honestly wouldn't know what Tannehill would look like if he had an sort of decent line play. I'm really surprised the kid isn't in a wheel chair yet.
