  • Two things I think we should do more

Since the Redskins cut blocking scheme was effective against us and we can expect our future opponents to copy that formula, why doesn't our o-line do the same thing to our opponents especially since our o-line is not very good to begin with. I think it would be an effective strategy especially against teams with good D-lines like the Bills.

I would like to see us use our backs as receivers more particularly Miller and Williams both of whom are very effective receivers out of the backfield. Thats a good way to keep opposing defenses off balance and to combat a good pass rush.

I was never a fan of cut blocking and just because it was done to us doesn't mean we should lower ourselves to other teams level. I agree I'd like to see our backs out of the backfield more often. Also while I have you attention I moved your Eagles vs Atlanta thread to the other NFL news group. It really doesn't belong under Phins talk.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

If the NFL was really serious about trying to eliminate injuries, cut-blocking would already be outlawed.

If teams keep doing it to us then turnabout is fair play.

yeah, it's amazing..all of the hub-bub about changing the game to make it a much safer sport & it's still legal to chop a totally unsuspecting players legs which could easily end a players season or even their career..Just doesn't make any freakin' sense!

When we signed O-line Coach Benton he said we would be cut blocking and we did so last year just not all the time. As far as the RBs maybe it was the flow of the game as our O was only on the field for how long in the first? We did it in the preseason so I'm sure it's coming.

I was never a fan of cut blocking during the game the skins got away with a few when a player goes to the legs another player is not allowed to block that player high guess it was ok for the skins to do ..........
