LaMike James cut

The Dolphins cut LaMike James today after his second fumble in his last few attempts. If you make the 53 for your contribution on ST, putting the ball on the turf (and potentially costing the team the game in a tight contest) is something you just can't do.

That said - we need someone other than Landry returning kicks. He's far too valuable to have him get hurt that way.....

Landry is good on Punt Returns as long as he is securing the ball. That was an issue with him last year. Also, I read he spent a lot of time working on his speed this off-season. He certainly appears to play faster than his 40 time... If me, I'd put D Williams or Matthews on Kick Returns and see how they do.

I've been beating the Jonas Gray drum for a long time so hopefully they will activate him now that he has had a little bit of time to learn the playbook. He could help in the return game and I think he will push to be the #2 back behind Miller.

I called this while I was watching the game yesterday. The only reason he made the team to begin with was to be an ace returner, put the ball on the ground without being touched aint gonna cut it.

Maybe this will put the squad on notice? Do your job or get the hell out. I like it!

Why can't Damien Williams return kicks? His only role on offense is as a pass receiving back. He has speed and elusiveness.

Not quick enough to be a good returner, but I would rather see him in that role than Landry.

Christion Jones only took one 108 yards to the house for us in the preseason. After Stills is traded, that leaves an open WR slot on the roster. Plus, with the offense we run, C Jones can do anything Damien Williams can do from the RB slot in the pistol set. He's a great receiver in the short game, he's fast, he's elusive and if you hand him the ball I'm sure he can run real slow with it too and never fight for the extra yards.
