  • week #2- Jacksonville

So, what are we looking at? Strengths, weaknesses, advantages, disadvantages? Chance for two early road wins.

Bortles is athletic and reminds you of Big Ben in some regards. That said, he is a Pick 6 waiting to happen each week. He did it yesterday. Last time we faced him, Grimes Pick 6'ed him and Brice McCain also has a Pick 6 against him from when McCain was with the Steelers. It's sort of Bortles trademark play at this point. lol...

Their receivers suck as well. They drafted Yeldon and he had a 4.3 ypc, but they kept throwing and making mistakes in game 1. Their DL now has Odrick on it. Dunno if he's Good Odie from beginning of last season or still the invisible man from down the stretch. Regardless, he's going to be fired up and emotionally charged.

I expect them to try and run on us like the Skins did, but I think we tighten up the run defense this week.

    We win 27-13 or better.

Also reminds me of Henne, 1 outstanding play, then 4 crap plays.....

I am looking for the COACHES to work out the kinks so that the team, as a whole, plays much better in all phases of the game. I think the players know they played bad and they will be playing the perfect team to go out and prove something. I hope they steam roll the Jags and develop momentum and confidence for when the schedule starts to get a little tougher after this game. Yeah, I am expecting a blowout.

“It was the first game. Obviously, I wasn’t happy with how I played, but we got the win. At the end of the day, that’s what we’re working for and we’re looking to correct the things that we didn’t do so well.” (Ryan Tannehill).

Suh was credited with one tackle and one assist in the 17-10 victory at FedExField, and described his performance as “poor.” “I just didn’t do exactly what I wanted to do, but it’s over with,” Suh said. “I’m moving forward to Jacksonville.”

Believe me, these guys are less impressed with their week 1 performance than we are. They know and they want redemption. Wanting it and getting it are 2 different things.

The Jags are a young team working their way back to respectability so it will be an interesting game. They have talent, but it's not all come together yet. If we play like we did against Washington, we'll lose this one. If we up our performance level to what should be expected, we likely will go to 2-0. After that though, we'll have two big challenges on our hands because the Bills and Jets both played far better than us on Week 1 and have very solid front 7s. That will limit Miller...and the way our OL performed Sunday get Tannehill crushed.

The Jags defensive line gave us fits last year and they probably will again. Bortles was unimpressive in week 1 against a mediocre Panthers defense. Hopefully we force him into some turnovers and we can feast off of those. I think our defense will play a lot better next week. Their o-line is not as good as the Redskins o-line. I know nothing is ever easy with the Dolphins but I do think we will play well next week and cruise to a double digit victory.

I was sitting next to a couple Panthers fans at the bar I was at so I could see some of their game. Both teams looked absolutely horrible for most of that game. The panthers only pulled away because of the pick 6. This is a game that we should easily win.

I expect both sides of the ball to play much, much better next week. The Skins game should be a wake up call to everyone and the Jags are the perfect team to wake up and find some rhythm against.

Maybe Jones and Landry can do some talking in the locker room and light a fire under everyone's ass since they seemed to be the only guys ready to play on their respective side of the ball.

We should win this one but after playing the Redskins I'll just say it should be close...

Should I say we'll win by a TD or more again? It worked for me on Sunday. BARELY but it worked.

I agree, but I have to add Miller to that list. Those 3 guys had a different level of intensity than the rest of the team. I think maybe the Dolphins read too much of their own press clippings. Maybe they thought they could just show up and the Redskins would tremble and retreat! Well, we nearly got our butts whipped. Our defensive front should be embarrassed and wanting to take it out on someone. We'll see.

After the stunner in Washington, I don't know what to say. I just hope they get it together. I think ( Lost my mind on the 1st game ) we play the Bills next after Jax.? Scary.

I feel like even though wehave talent, that any given Sunday a team can be beat. We are more talented but it's hard to blow out any team in the NFL I will be happy with a solid win and hoping for a better performance then week 1 ( less mistakes)

At least this game should be another neutral site game like we had in DC.

I think there will probably be more Dolphin fans in the stadium than Jax fans. We're about 90 miles south of Jax (and 265 miles north of Miami) and I would say that Dolphins fans out number Jags by 5 to 1 easy. We're probably 3-1 over Tampa.

Hope the whole team reads this BS... http://jacksonville.com/sports/footb...ig-day-against

The Jaguars should follow the Redskins’ blueprint for Suh: Run away from his side and cut-block him to prevent him from pursuing.
Suh was a non-factor against the Redskins, two tackles and one kick-off of Morris’ helmet in 67 snaps.
On the game’s first play, right tackle Morgan Moses cut down Suh, and Morris gained 5 yards.
On the sixth play, right guard Brandon Scherff cut down Suh, and Morris gained 9 yards.
And on the seventh play, Moses again got Suh on the turf, but Morris was limited to 2 yards.
That was just on the first drive, as if the Redskins were trying to sap Suh’s spirit early on.
The Redskins lost, though, because they’re a bad team and bad teams don’t overcome penalties (11 for 88 yards) and stink on special teams (allowed a 69-yard punt return touchdown by Jarvis Landry).
So Suh sucks and the Fins didn't win - the skins lost because of penalties and bad ST. BS...The writer didn't list how the Fins defense shutout the Skins in the 2nd half and got 2 INTs and that the reason this game wasn't a blowout win was due to our shaky OL and that Tannehill missed on the TD pass to Sims and was off on a couple others.

Coyles best protect Suh or he's going to get injured with everyone attacking his legs each play. Lazor needs to get Tannehill going early as well.

Hope you're right, I bet the coaches play vanilla football expecting this a win in the books and looking at the Jills up next.....

Hope I'm wrong, but I just have a feeling as this is the Fins MO, that we'll lose this week and come out hot against the Jills and then everyone's happy again, except me.....
