  • Anybody going to address the QB play?

The numbers are up to par. Is what you saw good enough to drive this team forward? I have an opinion on what I saw. A strong opinion. But I'll keep it to myself. Anyway, I have to go and clean out my fridge. I think I smell pounds and pounds of rotting meat.

It was adequate for today but not good enough if we want to truly be a legit SB contender. Tannehill was fortunate to not have thrown an INT. He also overthrew Sims for what should have been a TD and got him hurt when he had to dive for the ball. He also missed Stills on what should have gotten us near the end zone when his throw was inaccurate to the outside and Stills could not reach it.

I would grade Tannehill today a C. He better play better in the future because today's performance was not good.

It was horrible. Arguably Tannehill's worst game as a pro. The stats wont show it but it was. He had two TD's that the receivers were wide open and both went out of bounds. He threw three picks that were dropped and at least one would have been a pick 6. He was also Tannehill when it came to pocket presence...none. Very piss poor showing by the newly signed QB.

I was not happy with what I saw today. I saw at least 5 overthrows one that put Sims out of the game. But as I don't have the opportunity to look at it again I can't be sure how pressured Tannehill was. I thought that one of his strengths was throwing from the roll out but that did not seem apparent today. But it wasn't just him, with few exceptions everyone seemed to either be flat or very nervous. I can understand nervous with a young team that has been getting a lot of love this off season. Expectations were high. Hopefully, they will settle down a little now that the first one is over.

I'm more unhappy with the coaches.

If you compare the Rams game that played a very good team, Foles had a solid game with a very young team.. How Did RT do against the REDSKINS! he played like a 3rd stringer...

What I saw today was Tannehill through DF and Keibail's eyes and now I'm looking for an ice pick to poke my eyes out. That's how I feel about our QB today.
While it takes two to have an argument, it only takes one to walk away.

That was funny! I think the reason why you saw Tannehill's through our eyes is because he looked HORRIBLE, but didn't do a 2-3 things to make you forget about the negative things that he did. Ryan Copperfield. He's an illusionist. He can trick fans into believing he is actually a great QB but he isn't. He is 6'4" tall and still throws the ball into the linemen every single game. The throws to nobody. He throws WAY out of bounds. He has no sense of pressure. He gets out players injured. (Just ask Keller) Landry saved Tannehill today with his wide receiver play and his run back. If the Dolphins would have lost Tannehill would be in a much worse situation. Like Nole said, this was probably the worst game of his career. However, even though I agree with that statement I think there are many games that are close that others may not.

Agree on all that. He still gets more balls batted down then any QB I can remember and I stopped counting on the over throws. Saw a couple nice passes today like the one to Cameron but over all, I was more impressed with Cousins ball placement today.

Mariota breaks Franchise record! TB defensively is not that good, but then again , either is Washington... Mariota is making the Coaching staff look like they know what they're doing..... Wish RT could do the same in his 4th season.. IMO He has to this season...

Whisenhnt's a good coach and knows how to call plays for his QB's abilities. Doesn't hurt that Tampa's defense is hot garbage and Tenn's on line is dominating.

Did you say "O-Line" .............................Just Kidding.......trying to find humor in all this madness. There is a good chance that Pete Carroll cost me $400 today. I am trying not to start drinking so I am trying to find humor as a better remedy.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt. I am all for a good line, and I think we are solid in 4 of the 5 positions, but Thomas was bad today. I wanted Mathis, not sure why the FO and staff didn't go get him. He was absolutely an upgrade and possibly the piece to making this a dominant line. I also don't think Philbin is half the coach Wisenhunt is. If y'all remember when AZ fired him I was beating the drum for him.

I do remember you wanting Wisenhunt. He seems like a really good coach. He seems like a touch, no-nonsense coach but also a players coach too. He would have been an excellent hire.

tannehill has very little pocket presence. he stands in there till the last second then crumbles to the ground instead of moving back there before the defense is hanging all over him then finding the open wr.

Stats don't say it all. You failed to mention that RT should have been picked off three times at least that I counted and even though Cousins got picked twice by our defense his ball placement was superior to Tannehills today.

Could of but didn't. Remember Tanny was barely on the field the entire first half. I saw some really nice throws and some bad play calls by the coaching staff. I think this game should have been more of a blowout. We just seem to keep playing to these teams level. Trust me i was yelling at the tv today, but i kind of leveled out now. Trying to look at the positive. 1-0.

I'm glad we got the win but the only positive I took from the game is that Juice and Jones are in beast mode already. Now we need the rest of the team to catch up.
