  • Why is it?

That the Patriots can start 3 rookies on their o-line, 2 of them being drafted in the 4th round and they don't miss a beat? While we have to invest first round picks and give free agents huge contracts in order for our o-linemen to perform well?

I forgot to mention that their third rookie o-lineman starting tonight was undrafted. Jackson and Mason were both 4th rounders and Andrews was undrafted. Can you imagine what a Dolphins o-line would look like starting 2 rookie 4th rounders and an undrafted rookie?

Steelers D is not that good, especially their D line.

        Coaching, Coaching, Coaching................................

Unfortunately, when Shula retired this organization has never been the same. I thought we had a chance with Jimmy Johnson but that obviously didn't work out and then things just went down hill from there.

What I want to know is why the Pats are STILL getting all the calls. Brady's knee was down well before he crossed the LOS, but they gave him the first down anyway. At the end of the half, they commit holding, then blatant pass interference, but it's not called.

Meanwhile, the Steeler's headsets aren't working and are relaying New England radio....some things clearly are never going to change.

You are right, it has to be coaching. There is no way that if our interior o-line consisted of Jackson Andrews and Mason that they would perform nearly as well as how they perform with the Patriots. As much as we hate Bellichick, you have to give him credit, he is the best coach in the NFL. Other than Brady Gronkowski and maybe Chandler Jones they really don't have any other elite level players. Bellichick knows how to coach and put players in position to succeed and I bet he does not tolerate players who do not take to his coaching, meaning that if a player is not "getting it" he will keep coaching that player until he does get it.

I think the Steelers defense is pretty bad. No pressure on Brady at all, not even on the blitz. They put inside LB on Gronk at the goal line? Busted coverages everywhere. Add to that Brady and his release, and weapons to use makes it very little about the O Line. They are only having to hold a block for about two seconds they are getting the play executed so rapidly.

The good news is we run the same kind of quick pace, timing based offense. Which is why we looked good on the line in preseason.

Another season, same old thing. Patriots can mug the opposing WRs and get away with it - but if one of theirs is touched flags fly from everywhere. Anything even looks like it went wrong for them and the refs are falling all over themselves to come to the rescue. Looks like yet another year of *patriot cheating and getting all the breaks. New year, just like the old year...

I didn't think the Pats looked so good so much as I thought the Steelers looked like shat. The post Lebeau defense is soft and the DLine and secondary were garbage.

I expect the Bills to kick the shat out of Brady next week... of course the pats now get a few extra days rest for you know... to work on radio and surveillance equipment and such.

"The Steelers now become at least the fifth team making accusations, with the team saying that its coach-to-coach communications repeatedly faced interference from the Patriots’ radio broadcast, and that the interference would stop when a league official came to the sideline to deal with it, only to start up again when the league official walked away."

WHY the owners aren't making a bigger deal about this is strange. I think the Bills and every other Patriots opponent that they have to play on the road should fight fire with fire and have their tech guys make sure that on important drives the Patriots comms go out. I'm sure if this happen though, the refs and league would get involved.
