  • NFL Network cuts the goal line stand

Unbelievable. In NFL Network's broadcast of the Dolphins-Panthers game this morning, they cut from the Panthers driving deep in Miami territory, directly to Miami in possession, 1st & 10 at their own 1. The entire goal line sequence, beginning with 1st & Goal from the 2, was cut, as well as a couple of plays preceding that stand. I understand completely that they have to cut the game down some to fit the given time window, but cutting that stand rather than later stages of the game is inexcusable, and seems clearly malicious.

That goal line stand was worth seeing. Loserbug you have to chase it down. Gives a glimpse into what this defense can be.

Yeah, I found it on YouTube, they look scary. If they can maintain anything close to this level through the regular season, we could really make some noise. I was concerned when we initially signed Suh, but now I believe he'll be worth every penny. He just imposed his will on Carolina's offensive line every play, especially on that stand.

They also cut an entire CAR 3 and out series in the first and ST stuff as well. I was PISSED.

No way that's all happening on the up and up. Most of the guys on the field in the 4th quarter are either going to be out of work, or floating around practice squads, in two weeks. The only reason you cut out dominant starter-on-starter performance instead of last string play is to build a narrative or push an agenda.

EXACTLY! They did show a lot of CAM on the sideline as well. I wonder if Cam will be the NFLs new Cry Brady golden child.

Haven't even had a chance to see the game yet and I'm already upset reading this. Respect is earned and I understand that but they give us as little exposure/respect as they possibly can.

DF1, if you aren't looking to spend $$$ on the preseason, may I suggest you sign up at NFL.com for a 7 day free trial of "Game Pass"?
You could watch both of the games already played, plus this week's game live, and then cancel...

I agree with you all, the Dolphins are being overlooked by most analysts. But I really kind of like it that way. I like the fact that the Patriots got rid of all their players and are still the media darlings just because they are the Patriots. I hope everyone keeps overlooking us until it's too late!!

ESPN and the NFL Network absolutely hate the Dolphins. When they broadcast the games for the fans who were unable to watch it live why don't they air it like they do NFL Rewind? Since they are trying to cut the game down so they can fit it into their small window, they could just do a "Rewind" and show us all EVERY play that happened, rather then cutting out complete drives and leaving in Newton walking around smiling and other ridiculous thinks that nobody wants/needs to see.

Just watched the game last night after I signed off here and it was so cut up it actually made it difficult for me to follow. It showed us getting ready to punt and then all of a sudden we have the ball back again. WTH??

Yeah, I don't get it. I guess they wanted to make sure they got their middle-of-the-night shows on the air with no delays

NFL.COM has "Game Pass" and they offer a 7 day free trial. Watch the entire games, and even see game 3 live on game day, then decide to keep it or cancel...

Wish I had saved the game, but I didn't, and I already cancelled because I foolishly started my 7 day trial, 2 days early, to watch the Bills/Browns game live. Now I would have to subscribe to get this week's game with Atlanta...
We're thinking about driving down to see the family, and possibly catch the game at the new stadium
