  • How Many Wins to Save Philbin?

There is no excuse at this point for this team not to compete at a high level. If not it is on the coaching. So how many wins do you think it will take for Joe to keep his job?

I am saying 9 minimum and a wild card spot. 9 wins and no playoffs he will be gone.

I agree, 10 wins he is safe, 9 maybe, maybe not. Also, I believe the team has to be competitive week in and week out. You can't get manhandled down the stretch again no matter what the record is. For example, let's say we go 6-0 to start the season and then 4-6 the rest of the way and get a wildcard birth. I still think he is gone.

I think enough to get in the playoffs. If it takes 9....then 9. If 10, then 10. Unless we get injury ravaged, I don't think anything else will be acceptable (and it shouldn't be). If you can't take a decent to good (maybe even very good this season) team to the playoffs once in four years I think there are better coaches out there that can.

Playoffs or bust for Philbin IMO. He's had enough time with the team. No more excuses.

I say 16! I like seeing some one on the " High " hurdles who can't jump. So now the question is on the over under. Under he hits his head on the bar above. Over he almost makes it over but racks his O O's

A playoff berth is the only thing that will save Philbin's job, no matter how many wins that takes.

Playoffs or 10 wins. i don't think Ross wants to go through another HC search and 10 wins will be good enough for him as it would be improvement.

10 wins and no playoff and I think he is gone. If for some reason they win 11 games and not make the playoff he'll be safe. (I'm not even sure that is possible) So basically they have to make the playoffs

I agree with seeing how the team plays. If they squeak into the playoffs and underachieve like they've been doing, then I think he is gone.
                    Can we sign this guy?

12 wins and the playoffs past the 1st round..... He would be safe IMO...

My first thought is playoffs or bust, but if they win 10 or more games and don't get in I could see Ross keeping him.

I think you guys, are accurate as to how many games the,Dolphins SHOULD win for Philbin to keep his job but I have a feeling he will keep his job even if they go 8-8. I just don't see Ross or Tannenbaum firing him unless this, team totally tanks.

I think he should have to win 10 games. I think the suits will be okay with 7.

freak, i think your right ,joe keeps his job unless this team tanks horribly .ross does not want to rebuild with a new coaching staff, but big money signings mean big expectations!

I agree working man. If not then I expect the whole coaching staff to be gone.
