Could Matt Moore be traded? I doubt it. While I'm a Hokie fan I don't see Thomas replacing Moore unless the FO wants a project QB. I agree with Omar and think this is more of a tryout.

I wouldn't be shocked if they tried to convert him to TE...he is a freak of an athlete.

Oh, and he was also the #1 TE prospect coming out of HS. Va Tech actually turned him into a QB.

Logan Thomas must be on the roster for the first three games of the season. I feel a lot better about the Mike Hull cut now that I see we signed a QB that sucked in college and hasn't developed in the NFL. Moves like this is where our depth suffers.

If he has to be on the 53 man roster then I don't understand signing Thomas at all. Who are we going to release now? We went with 2 QB's last year and I would just do it again. Its moves like this that make me scratch my head.

I'm shocked as well. I threw the Moore trade in there for sake of discussion. At VT Thomas was converted from a TE and had a solid first year but the next two years he was NOT good but even with his inaccuracy and inconsistency he had no supporting cast and a horrible O-line. IMO, IF we keep him he'll be on the PS and will be a BIG TIME project but he is improving and has had a solid preseason. The research I've done on him so far has been mostly positive and he is trending up but at a slow pace.

Keep the faith guys. So far Tannebaum and Hickey have delivered. There is a plan and the TE idea may be what is going on. I want to wait and see what happens before I react, even though it is a head scratcher.

No idea where you get your info but, you are wrong. He was not signed from a practice squad, as they have not yet even been set.

Whew, thats a relief. I am ok with signing him if we can put him on our PS but not at the expense of cutting one of our 53 players. We needed to add a developmental QB anyway and the PS is where he belongs.

Hard to believe that anyone would actually believe that this FO and coaching staff or, any in the history of the NFL would have him be on an opening day roster.

I think he only has to be on the roster for three weeks IF he is signed from someone else practice squad. Not if we claim him off waivers. I think So Be, Be So right on this. LOL!
