  • Offseason regrets?

    Here are mine

We currently have a little over $12M in cap space.

I would not have signed Mario Williams since we are loaded at DE and that would have saved us $8.5M. So we would then have over $20M in cap space.

I would have released Branden Albert because I think he is done and that would have given us even more cap space.

I would have signed Sean Smith. It was reported that he was interested in returning to the Dolphins but we were not interested. He would have been a nice fit in VJ's scheme since he likes big physical corners.

I would have resigned Lamar Miller. I think he is going to have a breakout season with the Texans. I am also concerned that Foster and or Ajajyi will make it through the season healthy. Miller has been durable and he still has low tread on his tires.

I would not have traded our 4th round pick to trade up for Howard. I would have drafted LT Jason Spriggs who I think is going to be a future Pro Bowl LT.

I would have drafted Kendall Fuller instead of Kenyan Drake in the 3rd round.

I would have drafted Dak Prescott in the 4th round. He could have legitimately pushed Tannehill.

I would not have traded away our 5th round pick and I would have taken Christian Westerman who would have a legit chance of starting as our RG.

I would have drafted Charon Peake with one of our 7th round picks instead of trading away our 3rd and 4th round picks next year for Leonte Caroo.

Should of, could of, would of. If if's and but's were candy and nuts we would all have a merry Christmas!!! Don't really see a point in these threads.

I really liked the Mario Williams signing. He is going to play with a chip on his should and our pass rush should be outstanding. We have depth on the D-Line which is always a great thing to have.

Sean Smith would have been a good signing. There were a few other veteran CB's I would have liked the Dolohins to sign rather then rolling the dice on a rookie or second year player opposite Maxwell.

After signing Tunsil I would have shopped Albert to see if they could have gotten a 1st or 2nd round pick for him. They don't need three starting caliber left tackles. Albert has value so I would still think of trading him for a position of need. (GUARD)

NOT SIGNING A GUARD! There were guards available in free agency and then there were a few sitting there in the draft and this front office ignored them all. I been posting this for YEARS, build a solid offensive line and sign natural players at each position. STOP forcing players to play out of position . You need a guard so sign or draft one, don't force tackles who haven't played guard in 15 years to try and re-learn the position. Mistake.

They allowed Milker to walk but didn't draft the right guy. There were better running backs they could have drafted that were starters for good teams. They dropped the ball at addressing the running back position. Injury prone guys usually get injured during the season. Do they plan on heading into December with Pead and Drake?

There were QB's that I wanted in the earlier rounds. I don't think Tannehill will ever get this position down, even if Gase wants to stick to Dink and Dunk. Hopefully Doughty can take the reins but I think they should have drafted a QB earlier.

Did I mention that the Dolphins should have drafted a true guard? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sean Smith I agree! Kenyan Drake I agree was over drafted.

I like the Mario Williams signing also but we have good depth at the DE position and I think having a good proven corner opposite Maxwell is more important than going with an unproven rookie corner. I also think we will regret letting Miller walk.

I am also concerned that Albert is never going to be the same and I really like Jason Spriggs and to get a starting LT in the 2nd round is excellent value. I would have also drafted a true OG like you wanted us to and I think Christian Westerman in the 5th round would have been a steal. So we could have potentially had a starting o-line consisting of Spriggs, Tunsil, Pouncey, Westerman and James.

Prescott looks like he is going to be a steal for the Cowboys and we could have had him.

Prescott did look pretty good. I wish they would have drafted a QB earlier too. If they did that they could have drafted Alexander in the 7th.

            Kenyan Drake.
That was the World Football League. First player to catch a pass in that league? Vince Papale.
