  • Tom Brady wins Deflategate appeal against NFL, judge rules

WOW...now any decision made will be brought to court. The NFL will appeal I am sure.
Tom Brady has beaten the NFL in the Deflategate court case, with U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman nullifying the league's four-game suspension Thursday.
Berman announced his decision after the sides failed to reach a settlement after several weeks of talks.
Brady's suspension originally was upheld by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in July after an appeal. Brady, meanwhile, repeatedly had disputed the league's ruling that he and Patriots equipment staff colluded to deflate footballs before New England's 45-7 victory over Indianapolis in last season's AFC Championship Game.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

Tom Brady has won his appeal against the NFL, with U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman criticizing commissioner Roger Goodell for dispensing "his own brand of industrial justice."

At this point, would anybody be surprised if the league was banking on this all along? They get to appear like they came down hard on the Patriots, without actually doing much of anything. "Gee, sorry guys, we tried!"

This IS what the NFL really wanted. They didn't want their Golden Boy to sit out any games. They really wanted it to appear that they are not favoring their precious Patriots, as Bugman pointed out. Right now Goodell and Kraft are hanging out at Kraft's house reenacting their favorite scenes from the movie Caligula. This may be the beginning of the end to Goodell as commish. He needs to be replaced and that "power" that he is supposed to have needs to be in the hands of a body of people who can actually be impartial and have their rulings stick.

The only thing about if this is what the league wanted is it sets a precedence and now anytime Goodell makes a ruling it could be brought to court. It also means that in the next CBA the structure will absolutely change.

The NFL is going to appeal, so don't think this was the outcome they wanted. I think Goodell got pissed because he felt Brady just snubbed him and he was bigger than the game. This is one of those that they just need to whip it out and see who is bigger...It's personal and not business which is not good business.

You might have to get ready to pour that cup out because I could see the Patriots trying to get those draft picks back. If Brady was found innocent then there should be no reason why the Patriots should be punished at all, right? The Patriots are the NFL's favorite team and everyone knows it so like the snowplow incident, it will be another way the Patriots cheated and got away with it.

They won't get it back cause judge said that others bad behavior in organization shouldn't affect Brady. So Pats equipment guys still guilty! Punish Organization is still upheld!

I think its bullshit too...but you know what? I want to play Brady. I want Suh and Wake to just crush him to pieces. I don't want the BS excuses from Patriots fans that we only won the division because Tommy missed some games. I want to rip that division title away from them. I want Brady.

Agreed. I want the aqua pain gang to rain down misery and anguish on Brady and make him wish he was suspended when we face him.

I'm tossed on this one. I agree with Matt that I don't want the pat fans to have any excuses should they not win the division this year and there's a good chance either the Phins or Bills could possibly take it this year. I like what I see in our team and the bills looked scary good the other night. I'm keeping in mind it was preseason but their defense looked intense just like ours does and their offense showed a lot better than I thought they would. Every one of their QB's looked better than anticiipated

Shoe on the other foot, I HATE HATE HATE they these bastards keep cheating and keep getting away with it. God that burns my ass.
