  • Dion Jordan Knee Surgery

Dolphins place Dion Jordan on active/non football injury list, He allegidly injured his knee while training by himself. Interesting. Let's all hope he's not milking the situation just to he a paycheck.

Hate to say it, but i think the time's upon us to seriously consider just cutting bait on the whole Dion Jordan soap opera!

I would wait a few weeks and then do what I can do restructure his contract with incentives. I wouldn't allow a player drafted that high to milk the team like he's been doing. I do not trust him and this knee surgery is suspicious. It goes against what his agents have been saying. The mi ute he is reinstated he has to have surgery? C'non, man.

Exactly! Hard to trust a guy who hasn't shown any true interest or commitment to fulfilling his end of the bargain thus far..I wouldn't trust him no further than i could throw him & i'm pretty sure i couldn't throw his big ass at all...

Maybe he injured his knee tripping over his Bong. His 3 failed drug tests leaves me kinda suspicious of him......

Or maybe he was hanging with Tunsell with that Gas mask Bong on and he tripped over the coffee table....

          That could be what happened!

Maybe it was a pre-existing injury and he just wanted to be reinstated, so he could get paid, and once he did he decided to let the team know about his knee.

Sure enough there is something funky right from the get go. Disappointed but not surprised. So how about revisiting an old topic of mine. Yesterday the 49ers Anthony Davis filed the necessary paperwork to un-retire. The now 26 year old was the starting RT at the time he stepped away from the game for one year because he said his body needed to heal completely from years of wear and tear. He was the 10th overall pick in 2010.
Some have questioned whether or not he will be fully welcomed back into the locker room and there is speculation that the 49ers are only welcoming him back to use as trade bait. Here's Kelly's chance to poach Jordan from our roster after failing to complete a deal for him when he was with Philly. This way neither team feels a great sense of loss if their guy doesn't work out. There are no feelings of resentment or anxiety in either locker room and it is equal compensation on a comparative scale.
Let's add another 1st round OL into the competition. At Rutgers the 6'5, 325 lb.Davis was a mauler. He's a proven NFL RT who may even be a better fit than what we have going at RG.
It still looks like a win-win to me.
          Likelihood?

The Dolphins trade Dion Jordan to the 49ers for Anthony Davis. Once the smoke has cleared, he retires again.

It's going to cost us virtually nothing to keep him on the roster and it could actually pay us back some of the money he already took without earning. I say ride his ass right into the ground.

Agree, as long as the roster spot that could be 'wasted' on him couldn't be used elsewhere on someone who might actually help the team...One thing i don't do is look back in hindsight and blame Ireland for moving up to grab DJ; at the time many thought he was the best player in the draft and when the move was made it looked like a steal...

Well Ireland obviously cannot see into the future so no, I don't hold this against him either. Hindsight is always 20/20.

The more of this stuff that comes out, the more I'm convinced Miami is doomed with this batch of front office idiots. Gase is even starting to fit into the Idiot category. There must be something in Jordan's contract about hiding knee surgery from these buffoons running the front office.....

Idiot category??? How so? He had nothing to do with the roster until he was hired a few months ago. Even this FO had nothing to do with Jordan being drafted nor his issues since.

Someone in Miami's front office went to Ireland and voiced concerns that Dion Jordan might not have his heart in the game and is only entering the draft for the payday up front. Still wonder if that was Greer.

I wasn't crazy about the Gase hire so I'm taking a wait and see attitude toward him but so far his moves have been positive IMHO. To call him an idiot at this point seems unfair.

Agreed... no idea why people are getting so worked up before the roster has been finalized or the first game played.

I'm with ya D! I was pretty vocal in wanting a veteran (dinosaur??) coach ala Coughlin or Shanahan, but only because i thought this young, aimless, 'lacking an identity' team needed a veteran presence to kick them in the ass & into shape...I'm starting to think i was as wrong as you can get and at least to this point i'm very impressed at what i'm seeing & hearing from Gase and about Gase, be it from former players, coaches or current guys...

While i won't allow myself to be caught up in believing this is the real deal 'til i witness some proof on the field..i'm really starting to feel like between Gase & Vance Joseph this team may finally play to their true potential!
