I hoped Goodell was going to make it virtually impossible for Jordan's reps to fight for this bonus money by not reinstating him before Monday. That way they would first end up in an endless battle with the NFL attorneys before they even began to deal with the Dolphins' legal representatives. My better sense told me Goodell would would wait til the last second, reinstate him and then sit back and have a cigar and a nice chuckle with his good buddy Robert Kraft. I absolutely would not pay this bonus unless a moron like Chip Kelly were to offer us something very good in exchange. I'd eat that bonus for a 2017 2nd rounder.

Think I read that his bonus money was forfeited due to clause in his contract dealing with failed tests.

Gase on Dion Jordan: "I'm still getting all of the details. We are still at the beginning stages. We will have a plan going forward."

We have no idea but Koa Misi had some good things to say about Jordan after practice

I still think Jordan has Huuuuge upside. If he comes in and the money is a big issue and he's less than spectacular and there's BS from his agent about trading him to the 9ers, releasing him, etc., that's where trade talk comes in. He is our best OLB right now, talent wise. He's a matchup nightmare with some protection in front of him. If we're going to continue to trash him for not being a great Defensive End then maybe we should go back to trashing Ireland for not drafting a DEFENSIVE END. I thought he showed signs early on rushing the passer but would like to see him as a 6'7, 260 lb. OLB that gets his blitzing opportunities throughout the game. I hope this son of a gun comes in really hungry. How does Joseph keep him off the field?

Yes, he would be our best OLB, that's if this regime knows what position to play him at...

Unlike the last idiots that were clueless....

As a matter O Fact, he would be the BEST LB on this team, he doesn't need to add all the extra weight playing DE....

Just play him at the position he entered the draft playing, the position he played at in college....you know Football 101, which has escaped this organization for the last 3 decades....

Would anybody trade Dion Jordan to the 49ers for DB Dontae Johnson? He has the size, 6'2" that we want in a corner. He was a 4th round draft choice in 2014 and he is only 24 years old. He has shown steady improvement for the 49ers and would fit VJ's scheme. He has more experience than any of our other corners except for Maxwell and he is still on his rookie contract so he won't cost much.

I think it would be a win win for both teams. I don't think Dion Jordan is ever going to amount to anything for the Dolphins. He needs a fresh start and we would get a talented up and coming corner in return, a position where we are desperate.

Gase has given DJ a fresh start and he and VJ are evaluating DJ's return. We're not likely to get anything in a trade as DJ has no value right now. Teams can wait and see if we cut him first. If anything, I'd think that it would be pre-season at the earliest before anyone was interested in him.

Yeah I suppose you are right, DJ has no trade value now. All we can hope for is that he can contribute in some way this season. If we don't sign Leon Hall or Antonio Cromartie we will probably scour the waiver wire for a corner we like. I am really concerned about that position.

Gase already ruled Cro out. He said Cro was a target anytime one of his offense's faced him, so that one is extremely doubtful. With Bobby Mac coming back in the next day or so and Lippett playing in Howard's place, I doubt we sign anyone before the season starts. We still have IEO and some other's as well.

We'll ultimately get screwed any way you slice it; we'll either pay him the 1 point 7 mill. and he'll sit back, laugh & fail another test or we'll cut him & he'll go on to become the next LT...It's just the life of being a Fin fan......

He's already lost that money I thought. We don't owe him shat is my understanding.

I keep reading different things regarding the money...Some say we don't owe it, others say the money has to be paid by Monday if he's added to the roster but that the Fins can go after him for signing money already paid..Not sure & in the grand scheme of things it probably doesn't even matter since 1.7 mill. to Ross is probably like the change found under the sofa cushions to guys like us! I just hope the guy's serious this time around and he's not gonna just jerk us around again!!!
