  • DeVante Parker - Hurt again???

With a guy who has undeniable talent like DeVante Parker, the sky is the limit, but will he ever get healthy enough to give him the chance to realize his true potential or will he be the greatest that never was?! We saw glimpses of that potential when he finally took the field last season, but after a less than stellar rookie season which saw him sidelined for most of the year following surgery on his 'screwed'-up foot again, he's once again sidelined this preseason with who knows what...He missed practice last week and was held out again this week with what's being called precautionary measures...What does that even mean?! If you're healthy, you're on the field practicing & getting better..If he's dinged up, is it the foot again or just something minor??

Hopefully not a serious cause for concern, but i for one find it a bit concerning, we absolutely need this guy on the field & contributing!!....

Parker caught passes in 8 games last season and finished with 500 yards and 3 TDs in light duty.

The kid is a natural receiver with mad skills. I don't care so much about this right now as long as he's ready to start the season. No way I want him injured or dinged up before the Seahawks game.

Hoping for the best. This should mean more reps for Landry, Stills, and Caroo on the outside.

You're right, we definitely don't want him to needlessly injure or ding himself up during OTA's, but my point was that i'm just hoping we're not seeing another guy with endless potential who just can't stay healthy enough to contribute...

Completely agree... I see Parker the same as the Falcons Julio Jones. Fantastic talent, but always dinged up.

Parker had the same screw surgery that both Jones and Dez has had. Just have to be cautious and baby them to keep them ready for the real games.

Cut off his troubled feet. Attach a bionic one and let him loose. The 6 million dollar man sounds so cheap nowadays.
The deeper the roots, the higher the reach.

Yeah, weird how an astronomical figure like $6M is tossed around in the sporting world like loose change nowadays.

yeah, and it still makes my day if i find a $5 bill in my pocket that i didn't know i had...Sure as hell wish that i had the problem of 'only' making 7 mill. instead of 9 or 10...

Totally agree with Cuch when it comes to getting reps for Carroo, Grant, Duarte (flexed out), Stills, Whalen. It's going to be a mad competition to make this roster. Better see as much of each of them as possible. We know Parker has the goods.
