  • jalen ramsey tears MCL in Rookie minicamp

Gase is looking like a friggin genius right now ESPN's Dan Graziano reports that depending on the results of his second opinion, Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (meniscus) could miss "4-6 weeks or 4-6 months."

Per Graziano, there are "two possible treatment options." The Jags are describing Ramsey's injury as a "small tear," but it's to the same (right) knee that Ramsey had microfracture surgery on in high school. There's clearly going to be some high anxiety in Jacksonville over the next couple of days. A 4-6 month timeline would almost certainly land Ramsey on the reserve/PUP list to begin the season, costing him six games.

Hey Brov! I was just getting ready to post this with a header titled 'Those Hard-Luck Jags!'...Remember, they lost their top pick, first rounder Dante Fowler for the whole season last year when he tore his ACL in rookie mini-camp! Man, i hate to see this shit happen,, especially to a talent like Ramsey!!

Brov - i completely forgot about that...that' just sucks.

Hope you are doing well my friend!

I hope the tear is only the 4-6 week mark, but as someone that has torn his MCL, and re-fractured it, its hard to gain back your quick step....

It all depends where the tear is as I've had both kinds. Just a small tear would only require them going in and trimming the frayed part of the Meniscus. That surgery only requires a few weeks to be back at full strength. If he has what they call a "bucket" tear, then that requires sticthing the tear back together, it requires several weeks or more of complete immobilization while the injury heals, then physical therapy. Bucket tears can take up to 6 months to fully heal.

Why didn't we hear of Ramsey's earlier injuries? Now it comes out.
The deeper the roots, the higher the reach.
