  • Leon Hall And Antonio Cromartie ?

According to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson, the Dolphins are interested in Leon Hall and Antonio Cromartie to fill an area of dire need. "The Dolphins internally have discussed unsigned veteran corners Leon Hall and Antonio Cromartie," Jackson wrote Thursday.

The market is depleted of younger corners, according to Jackson, who said that Hall and Arizona Cardinals' Jerraud Powers are the only full-time cornerback starters, under 35-years-old, from last season available on the market.

The Dolphins allowed the second most passing touchdowns in the AFC last season.

Hall, 31, has visited several teams but has yet to sign a deal. The Cardinals, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, and Atlanta Falcons have all kicked the tires on the cornerback. Hall started just four games for the Cincinnati Bengals last season, but netted 44 tackles and two interceptions in the 14 games he saw action.

Cromartie, who just welcomed his eleventh and twelfth children, failed to make an interception last season for the New York Jets. The 32-year-old defended 12 passes and had 26 tackles, his lowest numbers in those categories since his 2006 rookie season for the San Diego Chargers.

Damn... starting to feel like we're going to field a defense made up of Defensive Linemen and Cornerbacks.

I would like to see us add another veteran corner. I am concerned about the rookie Rhodes starting right away and also our depth. If we were not going to sign one of the marquee free agent corners then we should have signed someone like Patrick Robinson who the Colts signed for a very reasonable price. I still don't understand why we just gave up on Jamar Taylor for basically nothing in return. There was no downside to bringing him back to training camp since this is the last year of his rookie contract.

Based on what we are building...I honestly believe we have Pro Ball Caliber D....

        The only downside...

This would only be true if we were in 2010
