He signed a one year extension for a guaranteed $10M. This supposedly creates more cap space. I am not sure how I feel about this. I am not sure its wise to invest another year on a 34 year old DE coming off ACL surgery. I would have rather waited to see how this coming season plays out. The extra cap space doesn't seem to mean much unless we plan on signing some free agents like Leon Hall.

Not really sure of the severity of Wake's achilles injury, but an achilles injury can be a lot more problematic than an ACL, especially to a guy whose game revolves around the explosion he gets from his legs..I have however read that he's coming along great and with his work ethic i must say, this doesn't surprise me!

Leon Hall has had 2 Achilles injuries in his career as well. Hoping for the best with Wake, but expecting his explosiveness to be gone and him to be a situational pass rusher at best.

Wake signed a TWO YEAR deal worth $15 Million. I would rather have Wake at 7.5 million a year then OV at what, $19 million?

I agree, he's good for 3 more years. Wake takes tremendous care of his body, if he can come back from this Achilles issue he'll contribute, even if in a situational role. Agree with Freak, Wake at $7.5 and Williams at $7.5 > OV at $19..The Dynamic Duo ! - BOOM! POW!
