Are the Jets with trying to move up. Couldn't make a deal with the Giants,Buccaneers, or the Saints. I guess we aren't the only ones. Still interesting how it went down.
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

The Jets tried to play Let’s Make A Deal with the Giants last week to get the bong-smoking, stepfather-punching, impermissible-gift taking offensive tackle from Ole Miss. It was the 10th pick…

Yes... a lot of teams were interested in Tunsil once he fell out of the Top 5. Jets needed him him with D'Brickashaw retiring.

Interesting that the Giants took Apple so high. He had a controversial combine and interview process. His mom has been out attacking people on twitter and demanding they ''respeck'' her baby.

Also, all week NFLN has been about Jerry Jones whining and lamenting how he couldn't move up and take Lynch as the price was too steep. Jerry said Lynch was a Top 5 impact player... funny considering he took Zeke in the Top 5 and refused to give up the price for Lynch, who he considered so highly.

We'll see how Dak does this season.

Even more reason to be happy with Tunsil. Don't want or need another "Miko" even if it is his mom.......

Yeah, be nice not to have too many distractions this season. Hoping the Tunsil stuff dies down and he's a good guy on and off their field. Same with the Dion Jordan situation.

Not sure how Dallas' hierchy is set up but, Jerry Jones son pretty much forbade him to take Lynch at 5, just as last season he talked him out of taking Johnny Doucheball...Seems in that family it's son, not father, that knows best!

As far as the Jets not willing to pay the price to move up & grab Tunsil, i respect them for putting a value on a guy and not willing to over-spend to get him..maybe the Fins should follow suit...

Lol... yes, Jerry has done more harm than good for that team since JJ left them.

Have to consider that we refused to over pay for Myles Jack at the top of the 2nd as the price was too steep. I did like that we mostly got the guys that Gase and Joseph wanted in with the 4 picks in the 1st 3 rounds. I was not happy with what we gave up to take Caroo, but again, ultimately a player's true value is performance on the field. I don't really care about 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds myself, I'd trade those all day long to have picks in the top 3 or 4 rounds.

That's my philosophy also. Always trade up in the 4th or 5th cause we don't need wasted picks in the 6th or 7th. Although this year we grabbed some good later rounds.

The Top 40 is usually where the real talent is, but the Top 90 or so is where you consistently win. You can find true value anywhere if you have a solid scouting and coaching program. This is where the Fins have failed for a long time. We've found the occassional late round Gem - ZThomas, YBell, RJones, but most often they do not develop.

Course our coaches have been Dogshat for a long a time as well and Philbin couldn't motivate a dog to lick it's own ass if he coated it in jelly.
