  • Leon Hall ?

It looks like the Dolphins are really interested in signing Hall but would like to wait until May 12th when they can sigh Hall without losing any draft compensatory picks for signing him.

The Miami Dolphins apparently aren't done shopping for cornerbacks. A week after they selected two cornerbacks in theNFL draft the Dolphins have expressed interest in possibly signing veteran cornerback Leion Hall, according to a source.

Hall, who won't be re-signing with the Cincinnati Bengals, is actively searching for his next team. He recently finished visits with the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons, and he could be visiting the Dolphins in the coming days to take a physical.

The source said Hall, 31, is healthy now, and would love a reunion with Vance Joseph, the Dolphins' defensive coordinator, whom Hall played under for four seasons in Cincinnati. The Dolphins envision Hall as a option for the nickel cornerback spot, as Joseph would prefer a veteran play that complicated position.

They should kick the tires on Culiver as well IMO.. Definitely would like them to bring in a veteran. If the young guys step up you can always cut them loose, but it would definitely be good to have Hall in the mix, especially with his familiarity with VJ's defense. He would be like a player coach on the field.

The more the merrier as far as I am concerned. I just love the fact that we can actually discuss the idea of bringing in a guy like Culliver rather then write them off of ever being signed by the Dolphins because they have an alpha personality or there were rumors they they got a ticket for littering in the past.

My first choice would be Hall but he might be too expensive. My second choice would be Culliver and I think he will come cheaper and maybe on a one year deal. I really don't understand why we gave up on Taylor. Just bring him to training camp and if he doesn't make the cut then so be it. Its not like we traded him for anything of significance.

If Dion Jordan doesn't make the roster then that will mean we got absolutely nothing from our first and 2 2nd round picks from the 2013 draft now that Jamar Taylor was traded. How pathetic is that. Oh and by the way, Dallas Thomas was our 3rd round pick that year, yikes. Talk about a disaster of a draft.

One of MANY reasons I don't miss the Dolphins EX-General Manager, who some delusional people give credit for all the Saints good moves as if he were in charge there. AHA

The 2013 draft was a disaster for a lot of teams, especially in the 1st round. Almost the entire Top 10 are busts, starting with Luke Joeckel. Even the Pats 1st round selection isn't being extended.

I agree...and in regards to Taylor (whom i really believed was gonna be good) i'm only assuming that VJ did some serious film study on him and determined there just wasn't much there to work with, otherwise i could never see letting young talent with any potential go for practically nothing - Especially at a position that's practically void of talent!..But, these are the Miami Dolphins we're talking about here, so-o-o.........
