  • Bills Cut Fred Jackson

He won't be shredding the Dolphins up anymore, unless the Patriots try to sign him. But, with what the Dolphins did in the offseason I am not sure any Bills running back will be doing that again anytime soon. I wonder if Jackson would be worth taking a look at? I know the Dolphins are going young but I think it's always good to have a veteran presence at most positions.

I am really surprised they let him go. I know they signed Shady McCoy but who are their other RB's? I would definitely take a look at him. We could use a power back like him. I just read that he is 34 so I think I have changed my mind and will pass on him . We do have a lot of young RB's with some upside.

I don't see us signing him or even looking at him as we have Miller and Williams plus Ajayi should develop into more of a power-back and James seems to be taking over return duties. I think Gillislee is done here.

I agree with some of the others and do not think the Dolphins will go after Jackson. The Dolphins are going young so they probably won't see the value in signing Jackson. What they could do is sign him and call up a team like the Cowboys and play Let's Make A Deal. I think Jackson would be a nice addition to the Cowboys and I would be surprised if they don't pick Jackson up, if he goes that far down the waiver wire. The Browns could be another option. They have a bunch of RB's but none are really standing out.

According to the NFL Network, Fred Jackson is on a place heading towards Seattle right now and both sides feel confident that he will sign with the Seahawks. There has been a lot of talk that the Patriots might be interested but so far that is just speculation. I will be happy if he signs with a team outside the AFC East.

He's a good fit for Seattle....Turbin hasn't been anything special and Christine Michel hasn't shown me anything. They could use a solid runner (who can catch passes out of the backfield and pass block) to spell Lynch and I'm sure Jackson would like a shot at a ring.

Lynch and Jackson worked well together in Buffalo as a one-two punch. Back then Lynch played really well for the first two years and then they kind of switched roles and then Jackson was their leading rusher for the next two years before Lynch was traded. Now, Lynch and Jackson should be a lethal combination.
