Dolphins today have released backup center J.D. Walton, per league source.

Was a questionable signing to begin with IMO... guy sucked for the Giants last season.

After his poor play and the chop block for a 15 yard penalty against the Falcons, the team had seen enough.

Sam Brenner will be the backup Center.

So it would seem they aren't too concerned about Pouncey being ok?

From what I've read, Pouncey seems to be fine. He tweaked his knee, but the ref called play and he had to leave. They sent him back as a precaution (thankfully). He and the team are saying that he's fine.

I personally like Sam Brenner. Never understood why he didn't more of a chance at Guard. I thought Brenner was pretty decent in relief of Cogs a couple season ago...

I thought Robinson might make it, by letting him go shows me they are more concerned about LT that they are putting on as Semisch and Stoneburner are more blocking guys. Of course neither of them may make it either and they bring in someone that was cut somewhere else.

This cut should surprise nobody that watched the game. Walton showed how important Pouncey is at center by getting manhandled the entire time he was in the game.

Thanks for posting the cut list...came here specifically looking for this. Robinson does surprise me. Cut ahead of the others. Semisch (6' 7") could be interesting or like others said they want blockers.

Wow, Byrd has been really impressive and Robinson has flashed a bit too...I guess unfortunately for Byrd it pretty much came down to the #'s, Fins pretty deep at wideout. I think he'll be picked up straightaway, maybe by Carolina..hopefully not New England!
