  • Draft move

Hello I have been on here a little while but just read the comments. I have a question for you guys. Would u be willing to give up our thiRd round pick to move up and grab jack, elloit, or another person of interest. I see someone falling that normally shouldn't and could be grabbed for an extra 3rd rounder. I would do it. Would u?

No because we need a rusher, CB, and G in the worst way. I would not trade the quality of theses 3 and so if Elliot falls to us great and if not oh wells. Same goes for Hargreaves because Alexander and Jackson ain't far behind. Apple also.

I believe in drafting talent over need but I also believe in filling out as many positions with quality players before you can begin to consistently win and therefore start to build a winning mentality. I know this sounds disloyal to an all time great Dolphin but I think Cam Wake is a bargaining chip we could use to move up in round two, especially if Shaq Lawson is our choice in round 1. Maybe with Dallas?

Completely agree. Wake is a situational pass rusher at this point and I'd have no qualms about moving him for a solid prospect.

I know we have many needs but for a 3rd rounder if we could get myles jack, ramsey, or bosa. I would pull the trigger in a heart beat. Those are the only three I would make this move for though. I believe they will b elite and can't miss talent. I feel like our 3rd rounders have been shots in the dark so might as well go for an elite guy

Welcome to the Board... don't be a stranger.

Agree on all 3 guys, but it's highly unlikely to happen as it'd would probably take more than a 3rd rounder to nab one of them.

I believe jack will fall to 8 and if he does I can see the Browns willing to trade that pick for our third. They would still be able to grab Lynch. Which I believe is their #1 and still stock pile picks. The only problem I see is other teams might be willing to move to get him too.

I might have said yes to this prior to hearing the news (rumors) about Jack's knee. I think that 3rd is valuable this year. What I would definately do is offer a 3rd in next years draft. We should get an extra 3rd for OV and possibly another for Miller. This year's pick is going to hopefully net us a guard or DE/CB.

I would make the move for Ramsey or maybe Buckner IF they thought one of the two would transform our defense. Those are the only two players I would move up for ..........

I'm a true believer in quality over quantity and love having a shot at elite talent, that's why I really hated trading out of the 8 spot, but if Max & Alonso shine, all is forgiven...It is kind of ironic though that we're now talking about trading back up to the 8 spot, though I as well would do it in a heartbeat if an elite player were to drop and we get the opportunity!

Btw, welcome to the board..Hope you stick around & post more,, we need all the help we can get!!

Without a thought I would give up a third for Ramsey or Jack. Bosa IMO is a bit overrated. I think he is a good player, just don't see the explosiveness from him. I most drafts we would probably see better talent at the front end and he wouldn't be a top 10 player.

To get Ramsey or Jack I think you have to come up to #4 or #5. SD could take Ramsey, but would be better off taking Tunsil, or they could trade out if someone wants to come up for one of those three. At #4 I see Dallas taking Ramesy or Jack.

The only players I would consider moving up for would be Ramsey, Jack, Buckner, and possibly Elliot. Outside of those four the only other I would want at #13 is Lawson. If none of those guys are there trade the hell out and get picks. The meat of this draft are mid round one through round three.

I would do it. One of the problem this team has had has been the mass of mediocrity at the talent level. Not enough playmakers. ESPECIALLY on defense. So yeah..if an elite player falls to around 8 or 10 you make the move and get them. Not many third round picks pan out. I would do it moonshine!

                PS
Now that you have started posting, keep them coming. Good topic.

I love Elliott but I really, really like Kenneth Dixon. I'd like to find a way to land four guys that I really, really like over two I love in the first two rounds. It can be done.

welcome to the board. I would vote no. I would draft as many players as I can. any pick is boom or bust. I'd like to have as many picks as possible and hope 2-3 pan out.
