  • Eagles trade with Browns for #2 overall in the draft

Trade involves the Eagles giving up 3 picks and an exchange of 7 picks between the teams.

The Eagles get the #2 overall pick in 2016, then a 2017 4th round pick.

The Browns get the #8 pick in 2016, the #77 pick in the 3rd round, the #100 pick in the 4th round, a 2017 1st round pick, and a 2018 2nd round pick.

Eagles have been rumored to be after Carson Wentz for a while and wanted to be ahead of the Cowboys in the draft, who have also been high on Wentz as a replacement for Romo.

Jaysus, the Brownstains now have 12 picks... given their track record, that is 3 starters, 2 freaks, and 7 scrubs. Then in 2 years, they'll trade the 3 starters.

IMO this increases the chances of Elliott dropping to us at #13. Dallas may want him at #4 but I don't see how they pass on Ramsey who should still be there as I figure SD can't pass on Tunsil. I'm hoping someone else grabs him because I think he would be too tempting to pass up for Gase and Tannenbum. Elliott will probably be a solid NFL player but personally I am salivating at the idea of getting Shaq Lawson more and more. But with the Eagles now looking like they are going QB, it will be interested to see what happens with Elliott\, especially if he is still on the board at #13

Now Lynch will fall in top 10 also. We may have some options with all the QBs flying off so early. Like last year a Blue chipper or 2 will line up in front of us. Pick up Josh Norman then land Lawson.

I agree and failed to mention that in my post. There is a good chance SF picks him up at #7. There is also a good chance Jack is still on the board when SF picks and if so it would be hard to pass him up especially in light of them having all their stud LB's retire over the past few years.

Not sure Homer,, I could actually see the Browns now taking him at 8...Maybe we should just trade up to 3 & grab Ramsey since many are saying that there's hardly any talent in this draft after the first wave...

I haven't really considered the Browns as a player for him, but you might be right. Definitely a position of need for them. Like I said I hope someone takes him because I don't want to have a choice for Gase and Tannenbum, I want them to draft a defensive player. Either Hargreaves, Lawson, or Regland. Those are the 3 player I would be happy with at #13, with Lawson being #1 and the other two tied for #2. I'm not a huge Hargreaves fan, but in truth I watched him in one game and he got torched. From all accounts he's going to be a solid starting CB in the NFL and god knows we need about 4 of those on our roster.

yeah,, personally I'm really torn as to which way to go this year, especially after trading out of the elite 8 spot...I'd love to have a guy like Zeke; great all-around back..but can we seriously even consider taking a RB that high when our D sucks so bad. I know our O isn't much (if any) better, but I think this team is gonna pretty much suck until we build an elite D, JMO...

What are the Eagles thinking? They signed Chase Daniels and resigned Sam Bradford and now they give up a boatload of picks to trade up for another QB? It doesn't make sense to me especially since none of these QB's are sure things. This might help us especially if Paxton Lynch gets drafted in the top 10. I think this increased the odds of either Hargreaves Elliott or Lawson dropping to us.

Amusing to me that the 2 teams who involved in the Foles/Bradford trade and signings have now traded a shit-ton of picks to be #1 and #2 in this draft. Neither Foles nor Bradford were or are anything special.

The money the Eagles have thrown around the past few years is insane and Lurie should have canned Roseman along with Kelly.

You'd DO NOT trade or give away picks from 2 or 3 separate drafts to move into the TOP 3 unless you're taking a QB. They still may trade away or release either of Daniels or Bradford.

Lynch should be the benefactor IF both Wentz and Goff go 1-2 or in the TOP 5.

Would love for us to have our pick of Hargreaves, Alexander, Apple, Lawson, NKemdiche, Buckner, etc...

I'm still not sold on either Ragland or Elliott, but rather Elliott of the two as Gase has mentioned repeatedly he wants a stable of backs to make his offense go boom.
