  • Crazy draft prediction

This one is crazy, but would not surprise me. I saw on FB a tweet that said Myles Jack is the #1 rated player on the phins board. I'm also seeing where Jerry Jones had a private workout for Paxton Lynch (or is going to). If Jones falls in love with Lynch would he consider a trade with Miami to drop down to #13. I'm not advocating the move, but potentially a Cameron Wake plus our 3rd rounder to move up and get Jack? Could happen with Tannenbum, and Jones loves his pass rushers. Losing their thug from last year they definitely have a need. They can either go for a young pass rusher at #4, or trade back and get Romo's replacement and a proven pass rusher.

Definitely something to consider.. Rumors are starting to swirl about Tannenbum making a big move, and it's very possible Myles Jack is the target of that move.

I agree. Whomever came up with this 'crazy draft prediction' could be correct. I can totally see Tannenbaum wanting to make a big move in this draft, especially since another team already made one, he doesn't want to be left out of all the reindeer games. I can see him trading up for a player, moving back, etc. and I have a strong feeling he is going to do something with that #13 rather then take it. He will find a way to make a move to make what he thinks in his mind is a 'splash.'

It could be a great move but there is a huge "What If" in this scenario that could happen even if all all these things happen. What If the Chargers don't draft Ramsey? With the Rams moving up to get their quarterback the Chargers could draft Tunsil now. In my opinion Ramsey would be a better addition then Miles Jack and although he might be the highest rated player on "The Dolphins Board" it just seems like if they didn't draft Ramsey with that pick it would be one of those drafts that we all look back on and think, "Man, if they would have taken Ramsey instead of Jack think of how great our secondary would be." It wouldn't be the first time that the Dolphins moved around and missed out on a better player.

Ramsey would be the pick in that case IMO.. Now with the news about Jacks knee being much worse than expected this becomes even riskier. With that said, I don't understand why the Dolphins bother to bring Jack in for a workout unless they think they can move up to get him. No way he makes it to #13. There is something up Tannebums sleeve and Jack may be the target.

I don't know what's riskier, moving up to draft a guy who has knee concerns or trading back with a team in the hopes that the quarterback you want is still on the board, in a draft with many teams looking to land a QB. Maybe the trade is with the Chargers and maybe Tunsil is the real target?

I don't believe it. If true I'll even package Dion Jordan with Wake. Wake I love but let's face it his age and injury and DJ I can't stand thinking about him cause of his selfishness. Dallas isn't even guarrenteed Lynch at 13 cause if QBs go 1,2 then lynch could go in the top 10.
Just frolic and live in the now like Dolphins and Man's best friend.

What I could see happening is Dallas taking Jack at 4 cause they also need a ILB but willing to trade him if Lynch makes it to 13 plus Wake, and a 2nd.

That's all we need. I have saw online that some people are taking Jack off their boards as his knee is not okay yet. Trade up for a broken wheel LB? I hope not.

You're confusing Miles Jack with Jaylon Smith.

I would have ZERO qualms about trading Cam Wake and the #13 pick, and a 7th to move up to #5 for Miles Jack.

Holy Hell. Yes. Jack at MLB, Alonso at WLB. Misi at SLB. They the kids and hopefully Jordan coming in on special packages. Yeah, gimme somma that.

#UCLA LB Myles Jack's medical recheck is over. "Differing opinions." Some teams thought the healing wasn't fast enough. Others are OK it.

''Differing opinions''. Sounds like they asked random fans of teams.

Jack's menicus/tendon injury was last Sept. 21, 2015. Todd Gurley's ACL happened middle of November in 2014. Jack has had an extra 8 weeks to rehab. He also participated in the Bruin's Pro day, where he demonstrated explosive power, which should improve as he continues to recover.

He had a 40'' vertical on that knee. I'd be shocked if he wasn't ready to go at the start of the season, or by the 3 week at the latest. Jack's 40-inch vertical and 10' 4'' broad jump was impressive for a guy who was about 80% healthy. The vertical was tied for 8th best in the entire draft. The 10-4 broad jump tied for 4th best by LBs.

People will bitch if he misses any time, but they'll get over that once he's on the field, the same way they did once Devante Parker came back and posted a strong season.

Now watch us draft Darron Lee. lol...

Just say NO to any player that can't start day one and definitely do NOT trade up to get a player with medical issues and can NOT start day one.

While I agree, I doubt Jack makes it past the Cowboys at #5 anyway unless Ramsey is there for them.

We've already worked out Jack, so we'll see what happens there.

I'd be willing to bet that every team that voiced serious doubts about Jack's knee have his name at the top of their draft boards.

I don't think we should trade up. I would stay put at #13 and hope either Hargreaves Elliott or Lawson drops to us. If they don't then I would look to trade down. Then players like Eli Apple and Emmanuel Ogbah would be on my radar.

ESPN now has Jack going 17, that's right 17 to the Falcons. No need to trade up. The also have Derron Lee going 10 to the Giants. We select Lawson skipping Hargraves. If this is somewhat true about his knee, this is causing Jack to nose dive. The question is do we still have the same doctor from Culpeper/brees? Yikes!

With the Rams and Eagles trading for the top two picks, Round 1 of the 2016 NFL draft just got a whole lot more interesting. Who's going where? Todd McShay is here to bring clarity to the chaos.
