  • Would you trade Albert to the Jets?

Now that D'Brickashaw Ferguson has retired, they will be looking for his replacement. Albert has been injury prone and he probably only has 1 or 2 good years left. So if we could get the Jets 2nd round pick in return, would you make the trade? I would do it.

Then I would draft LT Jason Spriggs with our own second round pick. He was the best o-lineman at the Senior Bowl and he has been very durable throughout his collegiate career. I think he will outperform his draft status and he will be high quality cheap talent for the next 4 years.

Then I would draft OG Joshua Garnett with the 2nd round pick we receive from the Jets.

So we would get younger and improve our o-line with those 2 picks in my opinion.

Yes, I never thought Albert was worth the money. We were desperate so we overplayed. To think Philbin wanted to pay him and pay Chiefs a 2nd rounder. I highly doubt he is worth that.

I corrected my mistake and said I would draft Jason Spriggs with our own 2nd round pick and not our first round pick. He is projected to be drafted in the middle of the 2nd round .

I would give t D'Brickashaw Ferguson and see if he would be willing to play for the Dolphins if they were willing to pay him what the Jets refused to pay him. The Jets were trying to figure out a way to bring back Fitzpatrick and asked Ferguson to take a pay cut so rather then take a pay cut he retired. If the Dolphins signed him, then traded Albert, they would be getting a HEALTHY tackle for just a tiny bit more money.

I don't think its about the money with him. I think this is something he was already contemplating. If the Jets would give us their 2nd round pick for Albert would you make the trade? I would do it. I think there is a good chance that Jason Spriggs will be available when we select with our own 2nd round pick. Then we could take an OG with the 2nd round pick we get from the Jets or our own 3rd round pick.

I think we need to revamp our o-line and this would be a good first step. Then next offseason I would look to move on from Pouncey.

Well the Jets traded for Ryan Clady anyway. They only had to give up their 5th round pick and got back a 7th round pick. Why are they able to acquire such good talent for such a small price like they also did last year when the Bears gave them Brandon Marshall for only a 5th round pick. I wish we could pull off some of these lopsided trades.

I guess the good news is at least we didn't trade Albert to 'em for a 5th round pick!

Clady has missed 30 games in the last 3 years. Jets better pray he stays healthy.
