  • If Elliott drops to us

Lets say that he drops to #13 and Hargreaves is already off the board. Would you take him? He would probably be the BPA and with Ajayi being unproven, RB is a need and we could actually get an elite skill position player for a change. I might consider taking him since he would give our offense a huge boost and take some pressure off Tannehill.

    R1. RB Ezekiel Elliott

    R2. DB Artie Burns

    R3. OG Christian Westerman

    R4. LB Scooby Wright

We could get lucrative offers for him. If we do like a late 2nd rounder and dropping 6/7 slots I'd pull the trigger. I just think at 20 we can still grab Alexander or Jackson3. Even Conklin might be there plus we can address Guard and another CB in the 2nd.

    1) Alexander
    2) Garnett
    2) Burns

I think I would just take him and hope that Artie Burns is still available in round 2. Kendall Fuller would be a good fall back option for a 2nd round corner. Then take Westerman in the 3rd to help our o-line and Wright in the 4th to help our run defense.

I think the Eagles will be key as to whether Elliott drops to us. If they take a QB then there is a good chance. Of course then the Giants would be the other team we have to worry about drafting him but if they pass then I don't think the Bears or Saints would take him so he would then be available to us.

And I wouldn't be disappointed either. After watching Gurley recover and tear up the NFL! Zeke is healthy and is the 2.0, I'm ssure Ricky would love it!

Draft him! If he falls to us we must take him. He's among the top.

I think the Eagles are drafting Elliot.

I just hope a ton of talented players end up falling after the Dolphinsoriginal draft position and then they draft someone who isn't near as talented as who they could have gotten if they stayed put.

Initially when talk of us drafting Zeke @ 8 was brought up i thought with all of our holes it was an insane idea...well, i'd say with Lamar leaving, RB is now a pretty big hole as well..Still not totally on board with the idea, but depending on who's still on the board, if he's BPA it might prove tempting! Zeke's no Todd Gurley, but he's probably the better all-around back, really good runner, blocker, receiver with excellent vision, possibly just what the doctor ordered...

That's pretty much where I'm at with it. I don't like him nearly as much as Gurley and see taking him ONLY in the event he is the BPA. Still, this draft is deep at RB. Won't matter much if we take him or not if our OL still blocks like shat.

Agreed..Normally i'd want nothing to do with drafting a RB in the top 15 (Caveat being Gurley last year, i'm sure you remember my man-crush on him!) But barring another trade back, i just don't know what's gonna be on the board when #13 rolls around - I tell ya, if Maxwell & Alonso don't pan out i'm gonna be majorly pissed that we blew a huge shot at drafting a playmaker @ 8..I'd take Zeke if and only if he's by far the BPA, otherwise if it's close we need more help elsewhere...

Yep... and I'd have no issue with taking Gurley. I just see Zeke as in that same class of ''special'' back. He reminds me of Mark Ingram coming out for some reason, and Ingram has been the definition of mediocre for the Saints.

I think I am better with Ajayi than I am our LBs! I might like to see Ragland, a big thumper in the middle of our D. We have to get this defense off the field faster. I still think, LB, CB or OG are our biggest needs. We can probably get a good Guard in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. I think Elliott is gone to Eagles if not the Cowboys before us. Again, maybe Henry for backfield help?? Could we get both with our first two picks?

I think Elliott will be gone by the time we select. I was just asking a what if question. Assuming Hargreaves and Elliott are both gone I think the best thing we could do is to select Eli Apple. He might not be the 13th best player in the draft but he is probably a top 20 player. If we don't take him I think the Raiders will take him with the next pick so taking him at 13 is really not a reach especially since corner is a premium position. Also it will be hard to find another corner in the later rounds who can start right away. My dream draft would be.

            R1. DB Eli Apple

            R2. OG Cody Whitehair

            R3. LB Joshua Perry

            R4. RB CJ Procise

I could do that, you hit all of our major needs.
