  • Are the Fins looking at Chiefs RB Knile Davis??

No, i haven't heard anything other than last week there were reports that the Fins for looking to trade for a RB, and a lot of speculation as to who might be available..The Chiefs were an obvious trade partner as they have a stable of quality NFL backs headed by one of the league's best in Jamaal Charles, although he is coming off an ACL tear..They also have former 3rd round pick Knile Davis, plus two other young promising backs in Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware. It's being reported that the Chiefs have extended both West & Ware and are now looking to trade Davis..Wonder if somethings brewing??

The Chiefs are hopeful that Jamaal Charles is going to be 100 percent by training camp, after tearing his ACL last year. But they’ve made sure they’re deep in the backfield, regardless. The team announced contract extensions for running backs Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware.“Charcandrick and Spencer both stepped in and were very effective for us offensively [more]

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins have been talking to the Chiefs about acquiring a running back.

By process of elimination, we can guess the talks are centered around Knile Davis, who was already reported to be on the block. Jamaal Charles is recovering from a torn ACL, while Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware were just signed to extensions. The Dolphins are absolutely desperate to bolster a running back corps that's currently led by second-year durability question mark Jay Ajayi. Davis has occasionally flashed during his three years in Kansas City, but disappointed more often than not. He owns a wheezing 3.34 career YPC. His addition would not preclude Miami from aggressively addressing running back in the draft. We doubt Davis fetches more than a conditional seventh round pick. Mar 31 - 2:28 PM

We're ''desperate'' again? Might as well change our name to the ''Miami Desperates''

A guy who is already good enough to be in a starting rotation? I'd trade a 7th for him heartbeat.

I followed him for a while because of fantasy football and he looked better than Charles at times. I think this could be a great pickup. I don't know why the Chiefs don't want him but for the right price it could be a good move.

He returns kicks as well which is an added bonus.

I do NOT like having Landry returning kicks. He is good, but I don't like the risk involved. I would rather have a player like Davis do it. He can catch too. I'm not sure about his blocking ability but I think the Dolphins should make this trade.

I hope they don't do anything stupid (hope in one hand, shit in the other right??) and trade a 5th or better for him..I might offer a 7th as it looks like he could potentially be cut anyway..So far, he's been nothing special but he could do double duty and relieve Landry of his KR duties...

I really liked him coming out but somehow KC's built a serious arsenal of backs (Imagine if Charles could stay healthy!) & Davis has free-fallen down the depth chart to 4th string..As soon as Charles comes back Davis is the odd man out (Unless of course they decide to trade Charles) A 6th or 7th is all i'd offer them..

I would push hard for the 7th rounder as opposed to the 6th rounder. The Dolphins really need a running back BUT the Chiefs can't carry that many running backs and my working out deals with all their RB's but Davis there is obviously a problem with Davis and the Chiefs. They don't want him so they will try and work a deal for the DESPERATE Dolphins but I hope Tannenbaum stands firm and only gives them a 7th for him.

Problem is, if you wait on them cutting him..then he's free to sign with anyone he chooses...

If you read the article below I don't think the Dolphins have anything to worry about in regards to teams flocking to sign Davis.

The Chiefs' 2013 third-round draft pick, Knile Davis, has likely seen the end of his playing time in Kansas City.

Omar is tweeting we signed Daniel Thomas back. Hope this is his idea of an early April Fools joke.
