PFF Quarterback Rankings

I find these rankings to be all over the place after the top 3-5 guys. Hurts hasn't done enough long enough to be top 3. He had a great year last year, but just like teams did with Jackson, they will figure out that offense and ways to stop him. He has done enough to be ahead of Tua, but top 3.. Same for Lawerence. We can all agree he is talented and has the tools, but he struggled year one and last year improved on that, but again, has done nothing to deserve to be in front of the guys he's in front of.

Tua's injuries and missed games has to be taken into account and this clearly does that. But with that said Dak has also missed significant time so putting him in front of Tua when statistically Tua has had great numbers when on the field doesn't seem right either.

I won't rank them after this..

Then after that throw a dart at the board and you can stack them anyway you want as far as I'm concerned.

I think Rodgers has earned the respect he’s getting on pure potential of a comeback season

However, ranking the injury prone Jackson and Dak so high on potential is a bit of a stretch

Even the write-up on Jackson they did suggests he might have a tough season

I think Hurts should be rated higher because unlike these two QB’s he actually had a great season

Tua will climb up these rankings quickly if he plays an entire season that’s for sure

Chris Simms ranks Tua at # 21 out of 40 Quarterbacks

“He runs that offense to a T," Simms wrote. "He arguably has the quickest release in football. Other than (Aaron) Rodgers, he’s the best RPO quarterback in football. But his arm is below-average for an NFL starter. It doesn’t create much on its own. Nobody would watch Tua film and go, ‘It’s lasers.’ When you break it down, there are so many yards and plays left on the field…The variety of releases is awesome. He’s not a great runner but he’s a good athlete…He’s not durable. It’s been an issue his whole career. He plays small in the pocket, he loses control of power throws down the field, and when teams took away some of those trick plays, he couldn’t deliver … He’s the perfect fit for this offense. I would run those same things with Tua, too, but that doesn’t mean the 20 other guys in front of him can’t do it either and then some other stuff as well.”

Best to stay under the radar. I don't mind he is in the bottom of the 2ndvtier QBs knowing he deserves to be at least mid tier around 14-17!

I do not get the prescott love at all.

He plays on an elite team surrounded by monster offensive linemen... has one of the best backfields in football and has always had elite receivers.

And he has won 2 playoff games.... and he will be 30 this year.

I am sorry but any QB would have gaudy numbers with that much protection and talent around him.

Thing is though his numbers are not that outstanding.....

And there has been nothing by way of deep playoff runs in his career...

Why is this guy getting so much love? Why does he make 40+ million a year?

Dak and Lamar are both WAY over rated, wouldn't want either....

Guess we have to wait and see about Tua, does he play like he did at the beginning of the year or the end when D's pressured our WR's?

Dak Prescott’s Rankings AFTER the past four seasons

2019 - 17th
2020 - Did not rank because he was injured most of that season
2021 - 9th
2022 - 18th

So it’s a fair question to ask why anyone would rank Dak in the Top 10 this season

These rankings must be based on what certain analysts think they will do without as opposed to what they’ve done in the past

Totally agree... These rankings are nothing more than an opinion piece of what the author thinks the QB's will do

Not based on last season.... Except for Tua who missed time and because of that was ranked 11th instead of 5th
