At New Mexico's Pro day, Jhurell Pressley ran a 4.38 40. He's 5-10, 206, with a 4.06 short shuttle, and a 6.92 3 cone.

''Pressley had a strong total performance at Pro Day. According to information provided by UNM, he had a 4.38-second clocking in the 40-yard dash, a 33.5-inch vertical leap, a standing broad jump of 9 feet, 9 inches, and times of 6.92 seconds in the “L-Drill” and 4.06 seconds in the 5-10-5 shuttle drill.

He was most happy, however, with how he caught passes later in the day with NFL scouts on hand.

“I needed to show them I had the hands and could run routes,” he said. “… The field drills were definitely good for me.''

Pressley’s best 40 time came in 4.38 seconds, which would have made top two for combine running backs, top eight overall. Pressley also managed a 4.06-second 20-yard shuttle that would have led all backs at the combine. His 6.92 3-cone would have come in third among RBs, while his 25 bench reps would have tied for fourth. In 2015, Pressley averaged 6.2 yards per carry on his way to 907 on the season, scoring 11 touchdowns. His junior year, he gained 1,083 yards and averaged 9.5 per carry.

Impressive! I was gonna say how many fitness champions cannot play football but seems he knows the game and isn't afraid to mix it up. Hopefully we can grab him with our late round selection. I smell sleeper/ acorn/ dark horse / Diamond in the ruff.
