  • Which draft would you prefer?

I will list 5 players who are either likely or could realistically be available in each of the first 5 rounds. So pick one of those 5 players in each round to come up with your ideal draft.

R1. DB Eli Apple - RB Ezekiel Elliott - DE Shaq Lawson - LB Reggie Ragland - LT Jack Conklin

R2. RB Derrick Henry - DB Kendall Fuller - OG Joshua Garnett - DE Emanuel Ogbah - QB Connor Cook

R3. RB CJ Procise - LB Joshua Perry - OG Christian Westerman - LB Deion Jones - DE Carl Nassib

R4. RB Jordan Howard - LB Blake Martinez - OG Sebastian Tretola - FS Sean Davis - DE Charles Tapper

R5. RB Kenyan Drake - LB Antonio Morrison - OG Spencer Drango - QB Brandon Allen - DT Hassan Ridgeway

    I think I would choose

R1. DB Eli Apple - R2. RB Derrick Henry - R3. LB Deion Jones - R4. OG Sebastian Tretola - R5. OG Spencer Drango

Apple should be able to start right away at a position of need.

Henry could be our workhorse back and give us a more balanced offense.

Jones gives us more speed in our LB corps.

I would then double up on OG's Tretola and Drango. Hopefully between those two, Turner, Douglas, Urbik and Bushrod we can find two decent OG's.

I like that draft especially if Henry is already off the board when we select in the 2nd round.

Ridgeway in the 5th would be a steal!

      CB Apple
      OG Garnett
      LB Perry
      FS Davis
      OT Drango

Really like Garnett and Perry. I think we want a Press DB early. Garnett should be a solid OLman (even if from Stanford). Perry is under rated at LB. 4th round is a little low for Davis, but he is a work in progress and penalty magnet. Guy likes to hit from backfield though. Drango... BPA... can play OT or OG.

I take it your fine with a 6 or 7 RB or whatever falls off the tree after the draft?

I just went with what I thought was the most talented of the players listed and wasn't picking for needs.

I really don't like most of the RBs listed either. Would have rather had Ken Dixon or Keith Marshall, but they weren't on the list.

Elliot, garnett , Nassib, Martinez, Drango.
Be nice to have the 5th best player in the draft at #13. Get a DB in free agency,

Actually I will change my draft.

R1. DB Eli Apple - Thats the only pick I won't change.

R2. OG Joshua Garnett - I don't think Henry will be available anyway and I think Ajayi can be a feature back.

R3. LB Joshua Perry - I think we need to be more stout against the run and Perry can play either MLB or OLB.

R4. DE Charles Tapper - We have 2 relatively old starting DE's so we need to add more youth and depth.

R5. DT Hassan Ridgeway - Run defense was a major issue last year.

Apple, Garnett, and Perry make that draft. Perry is getting more attention now given his size and production. Be interesting to see if he's there in the 3rd for us.

If Fuller is healthy, he's a nice DB. Not sure he's a press, cover 2 db though. Still, that's a solid draft.
