Well that shreds any chance we had of winning this game. The only way we pull this off is the defense plays it's best game of the year, harasses Allan non stop and creates turnovers. On offense we have to run it down their throats like last game (without Mostert which sucks) and control the clock. Also have to score 7 not 3 when in the redzone.

I don't dislike Thompson and IMO he's not much of a drop off from TB.. But I really noticed that he seemed to process very slowly. He was hesitant on letting the ball go and missed a lot of opportunities that he just didn't make the right read. He looked like a guy that just doesn't get a lot of run with the first team and a guy who was playing scared to make a mistake. Against the Jets that was good because their offense doesn't really scare you where you would get way behind and need to come back. But Buffalo is different. This could be really ugly which sucks, because this team is closer to Buffalo than we've ever been. Unfortunately this team is not the team that played them tough.. This is a mash unit that has a very low probability of success in Buffalo.

Agreed. W/out a good run game today, we can't control the clock. I see the defense already getting demoralized...

This tells me that the concussions and the shots to the head are starting to really get serious... The hit was not that bad.... Tua is out now 3 weeks?

We have to start looking at other QB options.

The problem with the people making those comments, is it seemed you would rather be negative, just to say you were right.

No, this is a much bigger issue, as we tend to hire the injured....this is a very BIG NEGATIVE toward Sudoku aka Grier

Here's pre draft notes on Tua, which we know now to be spot on

"There's more: Tagovailoa made a lot of predetermined throws in Alabama's offense, many of which he determined before the snap. When his pre-snap read was busted, or when he had to drop back and survey the defense, he was not consistent in scanning and correctly finding the best receiver."

So teams started pressing the WR's and that was it for Tua, why he was terrible the last 3 out of his last 4 games.

Not shaping up to be much of a game. But with the time Tua’s missed, he’d be rusty anyway. I guess this will be the β€œBuffalo blowout” I was expecting during the season. Let’s make the playoffs with a decimated/injured roster. Any of the other teams in the same situation? Nope, just Miami, of course, shocker.

Agreed! This many times is alarming

I mean like I said before this is a QB friendly offense, Shanahan is rolling with Purdy, would be nice if Skyler came in and could immolate that but so far no bueno

See how he does, won't hurt at this point, fresh meat so there's room for improvement.

We all know our chances w/out Tua are slim. Lets forget about what we do next year concerning Tua, only that he will be sorely missed in Buffalo. If we had a less than 50% chance of winning with Tua, I think we all can agree that our winning chances go down dramatically with Skylar and/or Teddy under center.

I, for one, am hoping Skylar gets the nod to start. Knowing some of MickeyD's other odd decisions, I am going to bet he starts Teddy. I think we have a 10% chance of winning this game w/out Tua, but I still want to see Skylar start and let him get some playoff experience.

If our coaches are worth their salt, they would have looked over how Thompson was used during his time at K-State. I believe he was used less as a pocket passer and more on the move. This probably will not happen as it is not the type of offense the McDaniel runs. Thompson can not process things as quickly as he needs to and his coaches need to recognize that.

I think McD's offense actually does roll Tua out and put him on the move, as he is very accurate while on the run. I think you are right though, I noticed in the Jets game that Skylar was running a much more toned-down offense than Tua did. I think this game we will
see Skylar (or Teddy) on the move more on passing downs. Especially since he will probably be running for his life most times!

Purdy looks really good, I mean really good!

That’s the difference between having a GM like Lynch and a GM like Grier

This is going to look a lot like Georgia vs TCU. We will be embarrassed in a huge way. All this wait to get to get to the playoffs for this shit. We are cursed.

For once, I would like us to make the playoffs with our starting quarterback in place. Same sh** in 2016.We never get s break.

Miami practiced today without their top 5 tackles and a og.... we are down our starting rb. Starting fb has a cast. Top 2 wrs had bad ankles. Missing a starting saftey. Missing four of our top 5 cbs heading into the season. With the other one having a bad hamstring all yr. Down a ogbah, our best de last yr... down to our 3rd qb... the fact we made it to the playoffs is pretty impressive. Bad news is we are probably getting crushed this week.. guessing we hold it together for the 1st half then the defense crumbles from being on the field all day. Hopefully we can build on this yr next yr. And maybe actually have a semi healthy team. No one is completely healthy this time of the yr but this is just ridiculous.
