Their #1 AND #2 for an average NFL QB who has yet to prove he was worth the 1st rounder we spent on him and an aging pass-rusher coming off an achilles injury...Even the Browns aren't that stupid.....

I expect the Browns the draft Goff. They really have no choice but to go that route. Unlike us, they will follow the example of the Raiders and put together an ass-kicking OL for him though. The Browns always seem to have solid trenches on both sides...

I know it's your "dream" draft but IMO if you trade RT that first pick better be a QB that you love.

What about a more realistic trade of Tannehill. How about we trade him to the Broncos for their #31 pick in the draft. Then we could do exactly as you suggested in the draft except for Jalen Ramsey of course. There is no way anybody is going to give us the #2 pick in the draft for Tannehill.

With this our DB situation is solved for 5years!!!

2nd) Best Guard in the Draft or Tackle turned Guard until Albert retires.
Trade with 49ers we give them Wake and DJordan for their 2
2nd) Derrick Henry
3rd) BPA DE/speed rusher
4) BPA WR
We trade 5/6/7 for another 4
4th) BPA WR
7th) flyer on a project QB

I'll be ok with LBs this year withMisi,Alonso,McCain,Jenkins.

R1. RB Ezekiel Elliott - I am starting to think he is who we are going to draft anyway if he is available. Hargreaves will be gone and we probably don't value Apple this high.

R2. C Ryan Kelly - Cody Whitehair will probably be gone. So we take the best Center in the draft and move Pouncey to OG.

R3. LB Deion Jones - I think he has a similar skill set to Danny Trevathan.

R4. DB Will Redmond - An underrated SEC corner. I would sign Patrick Robinson in free agency which would allow us to address the DB position in the middle rounds. Maxwell and Robinson would be an adequate starting duo. Then we would have Redmond Taylor McCain and Lippett as depth.

R5. LB Blake Martinez - Some LB depth.

R6. DE/DT Anthony Zettel -D-line depth

R7. QB Nate Sudfeld - Developmental QB

R7. WR Marquez North - He has a lot of physical talent but injuries will drop him in the draft.

I actually like this draft...and why not get Elliott? If the consensus 5th best player in the draft is available at 13.....take him.

In your mock we are still stuck with Tannehill. That's not a DreamDraft of mine. The Dolphins need a RB,I just prefer them taking one later even though Elliot is really good. Cornerback, linebscker and defensive end seem like bigger priorities. In the 2nd round I would take a true guard like Vadal Alexander over a center. The rest of the draft is a difference of players, you have your favs and I have mine. Let's hope this Front Office can do half as well as we do each season. :-)

Sometimes its better to draft the BPA than to draft for need. I believe in being flexible in regards to either draft strategy. If there is an elite talent at a position of moderate or minor need its sometimes better to take that player than to just reach for a player of a more urgent need who doesn't warrant being selected that high. I am all for trying to address needs in the draft but we have so many needs we might be better off taking the BPA.

In my opinion our biggest need is DB. If Hargreaves is gone would you take Apple since he is considered to be the next best DB in the draft? Most mocks have Apple being selected towards the end of the first round but some had him being taken a little higher. I think LB is a lesser need since we already have our starters Jenkins Alonso and Misi although we should look to upgrade over Misi and add depth if we can. With the signing of Mario Williams and Andre Branch DE is not a major need but if a good DE slips in the draft I would consider taking them since you can never have too many pass rushers.

I know you are not a Tannehill fan and neither am I but do you believe we would be better off with Connor Cook as a rookie than Tannehill? I guess I don't have as much confidence in Cook as you do.

If the Fins had any ideals about drafting Zeke i think they went out the window with the trade & switching of draft spots with the Iggles..IMO, he's gone by 13 and ironically more than likely to those same Iggles at 8...

I probably wouldn't draft Apple that high for I feel that may be a reach. However, if you are drafting BPA, and you are drafting at #13, I also think there is a good chance that the Best Player Available might be a quarterback. So, since you are in favor of drafting BPA, shouldn't you be drafting a QB if he is the best player available at the #13 position?

I am not suggesting that the Dolphins trade Tannehill because I am extremely confident that Cook is better than Tannehill. What I am confident in is that I believe most, if not all the top QB's coming out, have a much higher ceiling then Tannehill does. I feel that Tannehill is pretty close to reaching his ceiling, where these rookies just starting out in the NFL wouldn't be too far behind Tannehill when they start their careers so the FUTURE looks much brighter with a rookie at the helm then Tannehill. In my opinion if the Dolphins drafted those two guards and a rookie quarterback, coupled with those defensive players, the Dolphins could see the playoffs sooner then they would if they didn't make that trade. JMO

I am curious what you think about the idea of trading Tannehill to the Broncos for their #31 pick in the draft. They need a veteran QB and thats not that high of a price to get one. In fact it was rumored that they were contacting the Bengals about AJ McCarron for that very same pick. I would think Tannehill gives them a better chance to win than does McCarron so they might be amenable to that trade. Then we could simply draft Connor Cook with the #31 pick since you believe in him so much. I don't mean to rain on your parade but even the Browns aren't stupid enough to give us the #2 pick in the draft for Tannehill. They know who Tannehill is and they are not in a position to win now and so if you are building for the future you are going to draft a QB with a much higher upside than Tannehill who as you suggest has about reached his ceiling.

So let me get this straight, we wait years for us to use (not trade back) our high 1st rounder for a potential elite stud gamechanger (not an O-Lineman)..and we finally do so by selecting DeVante Parker...and you're suggesting we trade him a year later?? C'Mon Man!!!

yeah, that could definitely be a concern...But if we have that concern after drafting him as high as we did, i'd assume other's who get paid for being in the know would have those same concerns and wouldn't gamble a high first rounder in this years draft on him..Hopefully he turns out to be the stud we all thought he'd be when we rolled the dice on him coming out of Louisville!

I would make that trade though. I am having deja vu. I think I have been mock trading him for years. I wonder if any team around the league thinks Tannehill is worthy of a first round pick? You don't seem to think they do which makes me wonder even more then I already have in the past and present why he is still a Dolphin. If NOBODY thinks Ryan Tannehill is a franchise quarterback who is worthy of s first round pick in a trade, then the Dilphins should be thinking of drafting a QB early.

Doesn't Tannehill have a relatively low cap number this year? I know his salary escalates after this year but maybe they can restructure his contract. Unless the Broncos are willing to start a rookie or a QB still on his rookie contract or a backup caliber QB then they are going to have to pay that QB the going rate for a starting QB which is around $16 to $18M. The Broncos are in position to win now so starting Sanchez or a rookie would not be a wise decision on their part. Thats why I thought making the trade for Tannehill in exchange for their first round pick which is the lowest first round pick there is at #31. They are in a unique situation in that they are the defending SB Champs and they don't currently have a legit starting QB which is why they might be willing to make the trade where as other teams that need a QB generally stink and they are not in a position to win now anyway so trading for Tannehill for them makes no sense.
