  • C.J. Anderson In Miami

C.J. Anderson is in Miami for a visit. He has ties to Gase. Expect him to sign with the Dolphins today.

    I think he's a RFA with a low tender.

He is an RFA with the lowest tender. Bottom line, he's going to want money in line with the market - and the Broncos have the right to match any reasonable contract. If we were going to pay that much, we should have kept Miller.

Broncos are letting everyone go. They need money to pay Kap or whatever vet QB they plan to temporarily go with right now. They are allowing two of their offensive linemen to walk, they have Hillman who looked better then Anderson, so I don't think they will match any offer. 3.5 million?

The Dolphins should sign the Broncos TWO linemen !!!!

I'm a CJ Anderson fan & would love to see him in Miami but i've read that we're one of a handful of teams interested...Denver gambled that there wouldn't be a lot of interest in him so it'll be interesting to see if they're willing to match offers & how high they'll go...

yeah well, Forte had ties to Gase as well and he's now the starting tailback for the Putrid Green!

Bears & Patriots want a crack at him as well!

As restricted free agent running back C.J. Anderson visits the Dolphins, two other teams hope to bring him in for a sit-down, too.Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Bears and Patriots both want to entertain Anderson. According to the source, Anderson could be presented with an offer sheet from someone on Thursday.Usually, [more]

I am not a Gase fan but I don't blame him for players not wanting to come to Miami. When a team has a clueless owner, hires a new head coach every three years, has a mediocre starting QB, players just don't think they really know how to win. Why would anyone want to sign with the Dolphins? That 8-8 team that used to be good in the 1970's when feathered hair and bell bottoms were cool.

Be interesting to see how this unfolds... Broncos have rights to match any offer.

.. the Dolphins could sign Anderson to an offer sheet and not have to pay any draft choice compensation whatsoever. The Broncos would get five days match whatever offer Anderson gets.
The Dolphins will offer Anderson, a source tells me. The question is at what level.
Anderson rushed for 720 yards on 152 carries in 2015. His 4.7 yard per carry average was in line with 2014 when he also averaged 4.7 yards per carry. Lamar Miller, who signed with the Houston Texans as a free agent on Wednesday, averaged 4.1 yards per carry for Miami last season and 5.1 yards per carry in 2014.

Patriots and Bears are interested in Anderson too. Are the Dilphins going to pay Anderson Lamar Miller money?

I heard he's signed a deal with us and now Denver has 5 days to match. Haven't heard the terms.

Last I heard he was about to board a plane to visit the Bears and before he boarded he got a call from the Dolphins. Whatever was said during that phone call made Anderson change his plans and fly to Miami.

I like Anderson. He's a So. FLA guy and has said before he liked the Dolphins. He's a solid all-round back with good hands and pass blocking. He fits well (and was a hero for my Fantasy team a couple years back). I DON'T think he's anywhere near as electric as Miller could be (give him a decent line and good play calling and I think he can be a top 5 back)...but he'll work. Hopefully Ajayi will continue to develop also. Williams? JAG in my opinion.

CJ Anderson? He's a Cali guy, born and raised and thru college too...

I'd rather spend the money on OL and draft a back to compliment Ajayi myself.

Sorry, mixed up my backs. I was thinking about Alfred Morris when it came to S. FL. Either way...would much rather have Miller.

Ajayi will be a 1000 yard back this year.... Miller was holding him back, heard it here first. Draft a back in the later rounds to compliment Ajayi

I'd love for that to be true....but I'm not ready to jump on that bandwagon.

You & me both, Ajayi has shown nothing to make anyone feel he's ready to take the reigns..If CJ is signed there's absolutely no way it's to play second fiddle to Ajayi...

Give him the same amount of carries as Miller he will prove to be a 1000 yard back. He produced when he was in.

Agree... Ajayi runs with more power and explosion than Miller ever did. Spend on the OL and draft another back to rotate with Ajayi and Williams.
