Looking at the ridiculous money both Miller and Vernon signed for, it now makes sense WHY we let them go. We could never have paid that and if we could it would have been impossible to make many other moves. Thanks my UM guys and good luck!

In a spending spree that would have made George Steinbrenner proud, the Giants made three big moves Wednesday.
First things first: Yes, the New York Giants seriously overspent to get defensive end Olivier Vernon. They gave him a five-year, $85 million contract with $52.5 million guaranteed, which is $17 million a year on average. Any defensive player who's making more than J.J. Watt is being overpaid. It's as simple as that.
