  • Fins in play for Matt Forte - SIGNS WITH JETS

Per Armando, we've made an offer and are talking to his agent. Gase's connection to Forte may help land him.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets and Dolphins are interested in free agent Matt Forte.

Forte has now been connected to three teams, with Green Bay joining Miami and New York. Forte would be an excellent stopgap fit for the Jets, but a more curious addition in Miami, where the Dolphins seem poised to let one of the best young backs in the NFL, Lamar Miller, walk. The Dolphins seem intent on loading up on other teams' castoffs this offseason. Mar 9 - 1:14 PM

Despite his age I think he is built more like Peterson than others that hit 30. Good for 2 years. Go for it!

Would love to see a Forte and Ajayi combo... he'd definitely be able to help groom Ajayi to take over.
