  • Mario Williams

Does anybody like the idea of signing him? He had 14.5 sacks in 2014 and 13 sacks in 2013. He is only 31 years old so he still has something left. He was just not a good fit for Rex Ryan's 3-4 scheme. Instead of overpaying for OV I would rather sign Mario Williams. Maybe we could sign him to a 2 year $10M deal. I don't think he is going to get a monster deal at his age.

2 year 10M sounds good but I don't think he takes that. Just a hunch.
The deeper the roots, the higher the reach.

I'd be okay with him for a reasonable contract....but he's probably going to want to be PAID.

He just got paid his big contract by the Bills. He is now 31 and coming off a down year so I don't see any justification for him to get paid another mega deal. He will probably be looking for a 1 year prove it deal for as much money as he can get thinking he can get a much bigger contract next year or he will take a long term deal if the money is good.

Its no big deal if we don't sign him. We can draft a DE but I was just thinking that if we don't have to break the bank he could be a decent signing.

If he isn't injured I am all for it.

Pretty sure you're (somebody out there) gonna have to pay him quite a bit more than 5 mill a year..but at a reasonable price i'd definitely take a look..There are also a few other DE's out there who have just been released including the Panthers pass rushing specialist Charles Johnson.
